The Bucks defense on Randall was outstanding- 7 points on 3-12 shooting. They were trying to iso Middleton as a mismatch when the Bucks were switching, and that shot just didn’t work out too well. Alex Burks hit some 3s snd a few jumpers, but that was it. The Bucks defense was suffocating. They forced 13 turnovers and really blew the game open in the third when they got out on the run.

The problem with that strategy is that Middleton is a very good defender. He's not Giannis or Holiday, but you are going to have to work to score on him. Giannis, Middleton, and Holiday are as good a defensive top-3 as anyone has in the league.

It’s great for them the handle that though... the playoffs are going to basically be p&r to get matchups and then attack the mismatch. From a defensive standpoint, the Bucks need to be sure that they can still score when Middleton is expending a lot of energy on the defensive end.

Thought Middleton finally shook loose in that 3rd quarter- his pull-up game is elite when he’s going like that. They need to have him do a lot less dribbling and initiating offense, now that Holiday is back.

At some point, they'll likely have to beat the Nets in a series to get out of the East. Middleton/Giannis will probably match up with Durant in that series, Holiday will be assigned to Harden, and DDV to Irving. Lopez can stay on the floor with D. Jordan and Griffin getting minutes.

The Nets will run P&R to try to get someone other than Giannis, Middleton, or Holiday on Durant and let him go to work. As good as Harden and Kyrie are on offense, Durant is the one that will get you in the end.

The Nets don't have any lockdown defenders on that roster, so if you even have some modest success in slowing down their offense, you have a chance.
