Ladarius Gunter

I read he got a 5.6 on the X4 rating, which is 98% certain to be almost as good a grade as the PFF one. 

 

Hopefully this kid can push Hayward back to the slot. Because IMO that's his only chance at starting at CB.

He is a baller. Tenacious to a T. I really like this player, and I'm glad Ted nabbed him in UDFA. One of the biggest surprises of the offseason, and I think he is going to be very good for us this season.

It's even amazing.  Corner is so pivotal and the Pack goes into the upcoming season with a dearth - and just look what TT accomplishes.

 

I don't know enough to know if he is the best there is today, but he has got to be top 3.

A lot of pissing and moaning about PFF here, but his raw stats don't lie, and neither does the eye test. This kid can flat out play. phaedrus, it is kind of amazing knowing what we do now about Gunter, Randall and Rollins. All 3 looking pretty good. What amazes me is Gunter has performed as good or better than any of them.

I've been told that PFF's staff are English guys who are incapable of understanding football.  I'll wait for Peter King and Skip Bayless to jump on the bandwagon before I decide to join in.

Stats are for weinies. 

 

Of course the kid is a baller because he's ****ing committed and he wows his teammates and coaches.  He's the first one on the field.  He uses his size and instincts.  

 

Still hasn't seen a live game although it's promising.

PFF stats' usefulness has limits. It's fun to look at, gives you a pretty good idea of which players are performing the best at their positon, but honestly, what's the difference between a -1.5 rating and a +0.5 rating? How does David Bakhtiari have a lower pass protection rating than Duane Brown when he's given up half as many sacks on almost double the number of pass plays? The signature stats on PFF are wonderful, but the ratings seem somewhat arbitrary when it comes down to it.

 

As for Gunter, regardless of PFF, he's been fantastic. If he develops well, he and Shields could form a fantastic duo.

I just like the name Ladarius Günter. Sounds like old world Bavarian with street cred.

I really hate Bavarians...especially the Milwaukee Bavarian soccer types---kicked my ass more times than I can remember.

At least Blair played competitive sports, and I'll bet he was darn good at it. Plus most of the time his humor makes me laugh. Blair is a legendary hero on X4.

 

Fedya on the other hand just plays with himself. And, his attempts at humor are lame ass bad, always. Which is one of several reasons I have that putz on ignore. He's a laughingstock among X4 members, fricken idot.
