Hello Harbaugh?

Of all the jobs that may open this coming off-season, this may be the best one by far. You have a franchise QB, a top 5 WR, and a lot of talent on the defensive line. The Chargers have at least 4 perennial Pro Bowl types at the most important positions (Herbert, Keenan Allen, Bosa, and K.  Mack). There is no other job close to having that level of talent and a franchise QB that will open up - unless McDermott misses the playoffs in Buffalo and then likely gets fired. The other jobs are major rebuilds, the Chargers job is one where you can walk in and expect to be able to win 10 games immediately. The other jobs that are open and could at least potentially open are....

Carolina - a complete cluster right now with a #1 overall pick at QB who looks like a complete bust.

New England - you get to follow Belichick and you have no QB.

New York Jets - Saleh is probably safe, but everyone you do will have to be approved by Aaron Rodgers.

LV Raiders - I don't think the Aidan O'Connell we saw last night is the one you are getting on a weekly basis.

Chicago - maybe Fields does enough to save the staff at this point? It could be a good job if you think Caleb Williams is going to be a superstar and can start fresh.

Besides the possibility of Buffalo, I don't know of anything else likely to open up. Maybe the NY Giants? But you aren't winning deep into the playoffs with Daniel Jones or Devito (since you don't get to face Joe Barry every week)

If CHI finishes strong, then Poles is looking like he knows what he is doing and will be loaded for the draft once again.  Fields finishes strong or they draft the best QB, either way you have a guy you can work with.  A fresh start with a draft pick and if they hire the HC before the draft, he can then hand pick his guy which would be very appealing to a candidate.

And of course Harbaugh has a history with CHI.  Then again, Fields and the Bears finish strong and that position might not come open.
