They don’t count the first drive? Jefferson killed us on 3rd down throughout.

Of course the stats count. But some make it out like there were no adjustments made (clearly there was), and adjustments don’t very often hide busted coverages.

Coaching is the biggest cause of busted  coverage. Shitty coaching leads to busted coverages.

The Vikings are not as good as they played last week. And they’re not as bad as they’re playing tonight.  Too much is made of the first couple games of the season.

But my green and gold glasses say the Packers aren’t as bad as they were last week but are as good as they looked Sunday vs da Bares.
Ha, truth lies in the middle. Bucs will be good test. Queens get Loins. 🥸

Jefferson had 3 catches for 26 yards and 1 first down in the second half.

Completely disagree with your “cause” of busted coverage. In general, I’ll say that almost always, the player(s) is coached up correctly for a play call, be it offense, defense, or STs.  I’ll bet almost always it’s the player(s) who doesn’t execute properly. And they probably know it when they look at game film. Sure, there’s bad coaching.  But I don’t think Barry is a bad DC, and I do think the players could’ve executed better, specifically the Safeties.

As predicted, once the new staff had actual game film to show the opposition, their success wouldn't be so grand.

I believe they will be improved offensively over the Zim Zam years (low bar), but as long as Kaptain KARK is throwing the rock, they are who we thought they were...

While in essence I agree, it was the player's that made mental mistakes, one big aspect of coaching is knowing how much your players can mentally handle. If a DC goes into a game with 37 different coverage calls (not saying that Barry did), what are the chances that all 11 players are going to get every one of them right every single time? In addition, the more players have to think, the more tentative they play. Anytime a coach is implementing a game plan / system of play there are two factors he must consider : 1) Can the players physically do what I'm asking? 2) Can the players mentally do what I'm asking?

Sounds familiar, with all the trade Love, Amari sucks, time to end that, Watson is a disappointment talk I've heard, recently, from people who say they are Packers' fans.

Right now, I think there are 3 starting Alabama QBs, Jones, Tua and Hurts.  Another one soon to join them.  I can’t say if any will be all pros but one school responsible for one eighth of NFL QBs is amazing.

Not only that, all of those guys were on the same Alabama team in 2018.

The talent level on the 2018 Alabama team was ludicrous, yet they still got blown out by Clemson in the title game. 11 skill position players have been starters in the NFL (Robinson is on IR to start the year)

QB: Tua, Hurts, and Jones

RB: Josh Jacobs, Damian Harris, Najeh Harris, Brian Robinson Jr.

WR: Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs, DaVonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle

TE: Irv Smith Jr.

Well, you have to believe the Eagles saw C Watson blow right past Peterson with no over the top safety coverage.  Yes, our Watson dropped an easy long TD, but it’s still on the tape.

That’s the beauty of the NFL.  Teams scout and monitor their opponents and make adjustments.  GB had their chances against Minnesota.  The Vikings DBs aren’t good in coverage and they are slow.  The difference was our OL didn’t block well and give Rodgers enough time to make them pay.

But the Vicklings just won "The Super Bowl"

Fire Saban!

Interestingly, all last week the Eagle defensive coordinator Gannon was getting shredded for allowing the Loins 35 points. They were calling for his head.  Last night, the Eagles defense showed up. Why does a team play shitty one week and totally turns it around the next?

Goff is a better QB than Cousins.

You could build an All Pro caliber NFL team with a combination of the 2018 Bama team and 2019 LSU team.

If you made a team from just the Alabama, Georgia, and LSU players from the last decade that are still active, that team would probably be a heavy favorite to win the Super Bowl. In fact, back ups of a roster composed of players from those colleges would probably be a playoff team. I would bet that if you assembled a team from all the other colleges it would be hard pressed to beat this talent. If you included Ohio State and Clemson with these 3 teams, it would really be lights out.

Georgia has 38 guys on NFL rosters. LSU has 45 guys. Alabama has 59 guys. Ohio State has 47 guys. Clemson brings up the rear of recent title teams and has 28. There are roughly 1,600 guys on NFL rosters. More than 1 in 8 (217) of all current NFL players went to those 5 schools, and Pro Bowl level talent is even more overrepresented.

This would be the team for just the 3 SEC schools and I'm missing some good ones.  The talent at WR and DB is really startling. There might be 8-10 future Hall of Famers at those positions alone.

QB: Burrow, Tua, Hurts, Jones, Justin Fields (transferred out of Georgia to OSU)

RB: Henry, Jacobs, D. Harris. N. Harris, Fournette, Drake, Mark Ingram, Kamara (transferred from Alabama when he couldn't get on the field), Nick Chubb, Sony Michel,

WR: Justin Jefferson, Chase, D. Smith, Jeudy, Ruggs, Waddle, DJ Chark, Beckham, Jarvis Landry,  Calvin Ridley, Amari Cooper, Julio Jones

TE: OJ Howard,

OL: Ingram, Trai Turner, Evan Neal, Jonah Williams, Wills Jr., Ryan Kelly, Dickerson,

DL: Danielle Hunter, Barmore, Q. Williams, Mathis, Jordan Davis, Travon Walker,

LB; Chaisson, Devin White, CJ Mosley, Jermaine Johnson, Quay Walker, Ojulari, Leonard Floyd, Justin Houston, Roquan Smith

DB: Diggs, Surtain, Stingley Jr., K. Joseph, Stokes, T. White (Bills), Jamal Adams, Fitzpatrick, Marlon Humphrey, Eddie Jackson, Landon Colllins, Cine,

When they do the new college football playoff, they should just give those 4 schools the byes and then let fill the other 8 slots from the rest of D1. They went to a playoff system in 2015. Since 2016, every matchup in the title game has been between 2 of these 5 teams. In 2015, Ohio State beat Alabama in a close semi-final game before blowing out Oregon (who beat Florida State).

Cousins is better than Goff, but he’s a flawed QB in that he’s 10-18 in prime time games and 2-10 on MNF.   He’s actually pretty decent in early games.  46-31-2 in the early games.

What that tells me is he beats up on leaser teams or when the pressure is off.  The better matchups aren’t normally at noon on Sundays.
