After the game I hung around Green Bay for a day. Had some errands to run down in Kohler and some genealogy to check in Chilton. Joined my wife back in GB and decided that we would hit the McCarren show. Long time view, but had never been in town on Monday. Understandably, the Mike McCarthy show was not on schedule and was later taped without an audience.

The scheduled guest was Ryan Grant, but he was not in a good mood after the game, so Tim Masthey stepped in. He had a great year and has really improved. He was also a good sport, as they showed his run where he fumbled twice. The show is live, so he was careful in expressing his feelings about fumbling twice in one play.

McCarren is a genuinely funny guy and gets lots of practice as an MC in the area. he also knows his football and his canned chalk talk segment is always informative.

yes, they hand out those foam hands that look like Larry's actual hand with the broken fingers from his playing days. That's Mrs HOF1991 getting an autographed one for her office.

Unsure who that old guy is who's with my wife.

Lotta kids at the taping. Cheap night out, their friends will be watching, Larry is great with them. They ask questions (live).

They raffle off something nice from the Pro Shop every show, but we got there too late to sign up. They also give signed 8x10 glossies of the guest as door prizes. I won one of those. One kid gets to win an autograph by learning a football skill from the guest. Masthey had the kid kick a FG, right at Larry. Kid missed him by a few inches.

Overall, if you are in town, the show is a nice cap to a day in GB. Not like seeing a play at the Widner. It was a needed pick me up after the game.

The loss was like the following to me.

Through the regular season, the team generally scored a 95. A couple games, maybe 85. Chiefs maybe 70 and I am giving them that based on the o-line, mainly (injury ravaged and scoring with respect to skill level on the field).

Last Sunday about a 40. Maybe a 25. The departure from pretty much the entirety of their performance all year long was just plain astonishing.

I agree with Boris, the only team that could cause the Packers to lose is the Packers.
