These games are always close lately, so I see it Pack 20-14 at the half, with Bear TDs coming from a Hester return and a defensive TD. But we get the second half kickoff, Rodgers and Lacey go to work, and the Pack wins going away 34-23. Jones returns and scores a TD in the second half. Hyde almost gets a Pick six but is tackled near the goalline and Lacey takes it in.

Another game Kim Heidorn would understand.

GB is becoming a pretty solid spread bet. 5-2 overall this year 4-0 the last 4 weeks and 3-0 at home. Spread is currently 10.5. A lot of points for a divisional game with injuries on both sides. Nick Perry and James Jones healthy and playing are big this week if they can go.

37-24 GB with another cover.

The only way the Bears stay in this is how they ALWAYS stay in games: turnovers and special teams. Hang onto the ball and don't kick to Hester.

I think I heard that the Bears only have 9 sacks this year. No pressure, no Briggs, no DT, and maybe a wounded Tillman makes for a big game for AR and the running game.

Packers  37

Bears     17

Hard to believe the spread is almost 11 points given how close these games tend to be most of the time.

I have a feeling this time around may be no different.  GB will dominate them but Tillman will strip a ball or two and my guess is a special teams blunder by the Packers or a long return by Chicago will keep the Bears in it.   The Packers will take the lead late in this one and win by 7-10 points I think but I expect a low scoring, slug it out type affair.   Something like 20-13 or 20-10.   Go Packers!

Chitcago has gone through a transformation of sorts; where they were once known for their stifling defense keeping games close enough to allow Cutler a chance to win them. Now their defense is weak and struggling, and they're actually producing some offense.

Typically, divisional games are struggles, at least for us. Which is why I look for this game to start out close in the first half, something like 14-10 or 17-14, and begin to dominate in the 3rd quarter, before pulling away in the 4th.

"We don't need no dumb luck, 'cause we all know THE BEARS STILL SUCK!"

Final score 34-17.

After Monday the Pack will be within 3 games of .500 all time vs the Bears.  Who among us who lived through the 80's ever thought that would be possible????

I can't believe it.. I never thought they would even the head to head games in my life time.  It  is something that I have kept track of for decades....you knew Favre was done when he no longer could beat the Bears consistently--early in his career he just dominated them...and Rodgers now..I am always concern about the Bear games and McCown will run for several first downs which will be incredibly annoying... but I agree with Las Vegas---I see Shields, Hayward and Williams all having interception possibilities and the Packers just crushing them on the ground---giving way to some big plays thru the air. Packers 40- Bears 13.

I expect Trestman to try to go to the middle of the field with a TE, and he'll use Forte out of the backfield to really test our LBs. These are the two things that really worry me on D, given that BJones is just coming back, Matthews is still out, and Perry is out. Neal just isn't as good a cover guy. Hayward did not look like his last year's self last week, so he needs to pick it up. Also, they have Shields listed as "probable," so there's a potential glitch in the secondary as well. I think the Bears will throw, even if it is McCown. I hope DJones finally shows us why he was a No. 1 pick.

I expect Crosby to kick off, to add more direction and hopefully neutralize Hester because right now there is nothing special about our special teams. On O, I think we'll run at Peppers and we'll try to make their Dline go side to side to tire them out. Rodgers will hopefully get JJones back, and he'll look to get him involved. Lacy pounds them early, Franklin goes Forte out of the backfield, and Starks gets at least 10 carries.

All in all, GB 27 TBSS 17.
