Lacy runs for a first quarter TD and HAHA almost laughs his way into the end zone with an INT, but instead Rogers tosses it to Cook for a quick 14-0 lead. Things slow down for both teams after that, though they trade field goals before half time.

In the third quarter the D gets too more takeaways giving us a short field and Rodgers connects with Adams for a score and finally gets one to Jordy. Dom goes to prevent giving the Jags fans hope, but Pack wins going away 34-20.

With the heat & questionable depth on the defensive line, I don't want to see a close, low scoring game, which would enable the Jags to still be able to run the ball in the 4th quarter. With our pass defense & pass rushers, playing from ahead  is our best remedy vs. the heat. We win 31-21.

The offense, feeling humiliated after last year, puts on a show.  Rodgers, Nelson, Cobb, Cook, and Lacy all demonstrate what they think needs to be shown.  TT shows why he acquired all that defensive depth.  With personnel substitutions and ball hawking DBs, the defense shows why they might be among the tops of the NFL at the end of the season.  GB wins 42-10.

Lane Taylor plays more like Liz Taylor and gives up 10 sacks.   The rest of the guys pick up the slack and the Pack wins 27-23.

I ain't buying it.

The Packers, still reeling from the release of Josh Sitton decide to show solidarity in their anger by toning down their play to the tune of a 31-0 loss to the Jags.the offensive line was offensive, giving up seven sacks, the team totaled just 187 yards with Nelson leading the team in passing yards with 100.Lacy had 50 yards rushing while Starks had 37. meanwhile on the sidelines coach Mike McCarthy was seen on camera frothing at the mouth with GM Ted Thompsons throat in his hands screaming, "you did this, you did this" hopefully the anger subsides before next Sunday in Minnesota.

This will be the "Coming of Age" party for the Packers defense and they won't be affected by Sitton's release (he was on the other side of the ball) unless it's to compensate for any weaknesses the offense might show.  But I think the offense as a unit also has something to prove to themselves after last season.  The heat would be a factor if it were a close game, but the game will start with quick scores by the Packers offense AND defense and they won't look back.

Packers 34

Jaguars 10

Jordy scores his first TD, in over a year, on a  30 yard slant from ARod. Abbrederis catches passes for over 100 yards and a TD on the day. ARod and Montgomery connect on a 50 yard completion setting up Jordy's first TD. Lacy runs for 75 yards and a TD. Starks runs for 40 yards on the day.  Cobb catches a RZ TD. Adams catches three passes for big gains. Matthews and Peppers both get sacks. Ha Ha and Rollins both get INTs. Abbrederis takes a lot of heat away from Jordy as the Jaguars are forced to double team him. Packers win 31-13. Game balls to Abbrederis and Ha Ha.

I don't think the Jaguars offense has enough firepower to win this game. Dom's defense is now at a point where only one member of the main LB-DB core is inexperienced (Martinez) and having a very experienced secondary (Burnett and Shields - 7 years, Dix- 3 years, Randall - 2 years, and Hyde - 4 years) really allows him to use a lot of different schemes. Bortles may end up being very good, but he's not at the experience level he needs to be to make the reads that QBs like Brees or Palmer can do to carve up a Dom defense.

Green Bay will struggle to establish the run, but MM will rely on some quick developing plays or max protection to take pressure off Lane Taylor. I see a 13-3 halftime lead and a 23-10 game headed into the 4th quarter. The Jaguars make it interesting pulling to within 23-17 with about 10 minutes left, but then GB drives for a FG to go up 26-17. The Jags may score under two minutes and GB may have to recover an onside kick, but I see a 26-24 game in which the score looks closer than the difference in the teams during the game.

.... Jags are a lot better than people give them credit for.

Not buying it Boss.  This game should be a blowout.  If not, then the starters are still in preseason mode.

Famous last words. ...

...and this country should have honorable people running for president.

I don't see the heat being a problem. However, we end up looking a bit rusty at first because of our light practice schedules. After a bit of a rough start Lane "Babyface" Taylor settles in and Aaron finds Cook and Abby "He went to Jarod's" often and successfully. Our CB's and safety's get a workout but hold up long enough for an interception or two. Pressleys play on ST looks like a Jail house rock and we see the Full Nelson in action. 27-17 for the win!

McCaulay crew out for GB game. Carl Cheffers crew in. Not good. No one throws more flags than Cheffer's crew.  Have to realize there will probably be a lot of flags.

The delta in delay of game penalties is interesting in that certain crews have so many of them. Are these crews slower in spotting the ball?

Jax secondary will include a rookie (Ramsey), and two UFA's (Gipson at FS and Amukamara)

They haven't played a lot together so I expect to see a lot of press man coverage.

Should see a steady dose of screen passes and it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Aaron pick up 3-4 first downs with his legs.

I see Cook pulling down 8-10 receptions Sunday as well. As much as I'd like to see Eddie and the running came cranked up Jax looks like a team GB should exploit through the air early.
