Last call for Lions game predictions

Lions turn it over three times and the Packers zero. AR nails down his second MVP with a very good performance against one of the leagues' better defenses.

In week 3 the Packers ran ZERO screens vs DET.

 

They had 1 dump off to Lacy for 9 yards and 1 target for Starks which he dropped.

Packers lead 45-0 after three quarters.  Detroit makes the score look respectable when they recover three Jeff Janis fumbles in the 4th and return them for TDs.

It depends on which Packer offense and which Packer defense shows up.  But things have changed since that 3rd game of this season.  I thought the first game was winnable but we let opportunities slip thru our fingers.  That should not happen this time.

Ya, you some how missed that our Pro Bowler Jordy sets a new Packer record for most receiving yards in a season.

Packers get three turnovers, run the ball effectively and have plenty o' YAC.

Lions also run the ball effectively and get plenty'o YAC.

But the Packers have Rodgers and the lions have Stafford. Packers +10.

I really don't think the Lions will score all that much.  I think our defense will stifle it.

Weather is looking pretty good..Partly cloudy HI 27F  LO 12F.

As long as it isn't windy, Rodgers will be OK. Assuming MM gives him a good plan (screen passes!)

Packers win the coin flip and defer to the 2nd half,they get the ball after a 3 and out and run Lacy for two five yard gains and a first down. Second series they run Lacy for another first down then curiously MM abandons the run and goes to the air, over and over again just as always. Packers win 21-17 in a game much closer than it should have been with proper play

 calling and the fans once again goes nuts.

I usually blame MM for stupid calls too, but I'd love to know what percentage of plays Rodgers changes.

It may come down to passes to TEs and running backs. When the Patriots blew them out, the TEs and RBs caught 18 passes for 162 yards and two Tds. Edelman, a poor mans Cobb, went for 11 recepts. And 89 yards. 

 

Stay patient, use short passes and the run, Packers win 23-17.

Pack by a TD and a late FG.

Agree that this one will be a close one. Packers pass rush looks to be coming together again and should be able to keep Stafford off balance. So Lions offensive scoring will be minimal. Lions defense is no fluke and will also frustrate Rodgers again. This game will be decided on a turnover or ST play. This time the Pack will benefit and win 20-13.

Aaron has had some time to rest up.  He knows how important this game is  - let's all just R-E-L-A-X!!  Jordy, Clay and Eddie know what  to do.  Let's just put our faith in the Pack!  By the way, when the Pack make the Super Bowl, there will a huge party here at the Farm in honor of Frosty and all are invited!!

St Hooligan, if your avatar attends that party you will have Woodstockian type attendance....my advice, order more beer.

Hopefully St. Louis has one more upset in them.

I would like to see Eddie and James just absolutely bloodying the Detailers Dline in the second half.  Make a few pancakes with Chef Linsley while Cobb has the Detailers D sucking wind as they try to contain him coming out of the backfield like a jack in a box.

Rodgers needs to eat a Snickers and take the check down against 2 deep.  MM needs to commit to the run between the tackles.  I have a sinking feeling that half the run calls will be stretch or toss in an attempt to avoid the Lions interior line.

Rodgers throws 2 picks and Lacy fumbles once. Cutler doesn't turn it over and Forte goes for 150+. Bears stun the Packers 37-20.

Screw the punkass classless loins.  If the GBP doesn't take advantage of this huge opportunity and lets those beetches win the NFC North I will be disgusted.  No way the loins can beat the GBP if they execute and take care of the ball.  Hope to dog we don't give it away.

 

Great sunny day for football here so far - really too bad it isn't a noon game to take advantage of the sunny day but we've got commercials to sell.

In Wk 3 Fairley put pressure up the middle on AR (1 QB hit) and forced the Lacy fumble that went for a TD. Fairley is out today.

 

Stafford has one of the worst QB ratings and TD - Int ratios in the 4th quarter this season, while Rodgers has one of the best.

 

Lacy has avg'd just 14.7 carries per game and 2.6 rec'pts. He should be fresh and ready to carry the load.

 

4 Packers players weren't even born yet the last DET won in WIS.

Bush runs (not Jeb) and racks up the yards as does bell. Calvin  and Golden catches a couple of touchdowns. Lions pass rush is effective and Aaron is limited by his calf pull. Lacy is held to 50 yards. We put up a mighty effort but lose on a Crosby missed FG.
