Pack rebounds with a strong win, TD passes to Jones and Cobb, 141 yards for Lacy and a TD on a screen pass as well as one rushing. RGIII makes it interesting but Hyde gets his first NFL INT and Matthews continues in beast mode with two sacks. Pack 38, Redskins 24.

Packers so impressed by Masthay's tackling they try him at safety in an attempt to upgrade the position. Lacy runs for over 100 and AR throws 3 TDs. Watching RG3 he's got a ways to go yet before he's fully recovered.

I'll be disappointed if we don't throw a lot of pressure at RGIII early on.  Make him work that knee early and see what he's got.  Adjust from there.  But I can see a pressure INT early in the game.

I think we're going to enjoy our defense much more this weekend.

AR and Lacy will have fun on the other side.

Reading and hearing how RG3 looked better in the 2nd half and had them in position near the end... What I saw was RG3 with sh!t for accuracy in the first half and then much improved accuracy and a PHI D that let up some in the 2nd half. PHI hardly came with pressure in the 2nd half from what I saw (I did not watch all the way to the end).

The only reason RG3 looked better in the second half was because the Eagles were playing the dreadful prevent defense.  I live near Philly and unfortunately have heard all the Eagles fans complaining about the defense playing prevent in the second half allowing the Redskins to get back in the game.

RG3 is not ready to run the read option effectively.  If it were me, I would blitz the hell out of him.  If he does start running the read option, the Packers now know how to defend that fairly well.

I will be deeply disappointed if we don't get a win in this one. We are so much a better team. I want to see MM really stick with the run, as I think they can run on Wash. Want to see J. Jones get involved, and Lacy score twice.

If we give them the black hole in the middle of the D again, I am going to be very unhappy. Capers comes back with some blitzes and they are calling D. Jones' name all afternoon.

That's the same thing I saw...  Plus. I saw a Wash D that looks extremely vulnerable, not some amazing offense that is being sold as the greatest thing since the 16-0 Patriots.

Have to win it and I feel like they will.  I could see RGIII racking up some yards on the Pack, but overall I think the Pack is 10 to 14 points better at home.

There's no sure things in the NFL and of course if the Pack lets' RGIII get comfortable and guys like Orakpo and Kerrigann get in Rodgers' face a lot, it will be tough.  That said, somehow someway the Pack wins this one by 10 in the Lambeau Field opener.

The Pack should win this one, unless they suffer an emotional letdown after getting so jacked up for the 9er game.

RGIII still wearing a brace on the knee and they probably dont want him running the read option very much, and if he does probably will hand off or pitch instead of keeping it.

We should be able to run and pass on their D, providing our OL does its job.

Hoping for a comfortable win with little drama or nerve wracking, anxiety filled moments overcoming adversity to win.

Our safeties must play much better! And Ross cant be indecisive on returns.

The option may not be around much longer as RGIII was still gimpy; GB showed how to defense it against the Niners as well as CK had to slide several times;  and if you saw Philly, Vick got up gimpy after a run later in the game. Vick ran for good yards before going out of bounds but as he got up he was grabbing his upper groin area and stretching it, which he continued to do to the end.

I don't know about that. Sure, they stopped his scrambling ability, but they were forced to play zone in order to make sure he wasn't running around. That just opened things up for him to pick them apart with ease in the passing game.

whats wrong with that? considering my marriage's love-life right now, i am stretching my groin on my own quite often.....

please, tell me there is nothing wrong with doing this.........

Oh, and I think the skins will be lucky to score 14 on us, probably closer to 10.

Jones has 2 TD's, Jordy 115+ receiving yards, Lacy over 100 rushing and 12 will have an almost perfect passing rating with a 138 as the Pack tramples the skins.

31-13 and not even as close as the score suggests...............

completely tasteless. I am embarrassed for you.

I like this idea.  Put masthay at strong safety and use Raji as our substitute punter.  Brilliant

The way RGIII looked on Monday, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cousins at some point in time in this game.  He performed well last year, and is a pretty good QB.  It shouldn't matter, we have more tallant, the Pack should win by 10, not close.

Really surprised how poor the Redskin defense played on Monday Night. Equally surprised the Eagles took their foot off the gas.

Hoping for more poor defense from the Skins on Sunday

Washington stunk against the pass last year. They drafted Bacarri Rambo out of Georgia at Safety. He looked bad last week. Tough spot to put a rookie.

The last thing Rambo wanted to see in week 2 was Aaron Rodgers, Jordy, Cobb, Jones, and Finley. The flashbacks from January 2013 won't help either. Rambo is #18 by the way....

I think the Packers win this one.

RGIII is still recovering from knee surgery and won't be running as much. He'll be more of a passing QB, but I expect the Redskins to run plenty, with other players.

The defense didn't look too good against Philly. The Packers should put up some points. They will be at home and need the win to go to 1-1.

Kiel, Do you remember who it was who posted "Good luck in Chicago next week" in the game thread after the guy from Atlanta (Weems?) ran a 100 yard kick off back in 2010 to make it 14-7 in the playoffs? I remember you going after him just like this one. Pablo did as well. That was glorious.

Don't re-call, but honestly, what the f- is with the Eeyore's of the world (and this site) that slit their wrists the first time a pass is dropped?

Guess I'm not wired like them.

My mission is to beat them into submission-----or make them follow the Jags.
