Q1

Packers go up early with a 7 yard TD catch for Lacy. Seahawks respond with a FG to make it 7-3 Packers at the end of Q1.

 

Q2

They exchange punts before GB gets some momentum, only to have Sherman get a pick-6 on AR to put SEA up 10-7. Just before the half Crosby hits from 32 to tie the game. 10-10 at the half.

 

Q3

Two Rodgers to Rodgers TDs puts the Packers up 24-10 at the end of 3.

 

Q4

Lynch busts off a TD run of 21 to get SEA back into the game, Packers 24-17. Rodgers and the Packers respond and he connects with James Jones for 23 yards and a 31-17 lead. The Packers D steps up and the OL and Lacy put a statement on the game with a long time consuming drive capped with a Lacy 5 yard TD run. Packers 38-17. Daniels and Jones collapse the pocket and force Wilson to run right into Peppers for a strip sack, the ball is picked up by HaHa who runs it 34 yards for the final score.

 

Packers 45-17

Take away the Q2 snafu and make it a James Jones TD.

 

Packers 52-10.

Rodgers has thrown one pick 6 his entire career.

He also had a fumble returned for a touchdown. 

Feel very confident about the game but don't see that type of margin of victory.

I think it's a relatively low scoring slugfest. I'll say 23-17 Packers.

Felt really good about this one until the Bulaga news. If they're lining up preseason Barclay against that front 7, it could be very hard to get anything going offensively.

Do me a favor. Can you let me know the last time GB lost at home by double digits when Aaron played the entire game? Unless you are also predicting AR is getting hurt.

When's the last time we played the back to back defending NFC Champions without our #1 ILB, #1 WR and #1 tackle at home?

 

I don't see the game going well unless the coaches do the unexpected and keep Barclay on the bench. 

The wheels came off against Seattle last year in the opener when Bulaga went down and Sherrod went in.  Hopefully Barclay has shaken off the rust and can provide a decent performance--unlike Sherrod, he actually can play at an NFL level (as he did pre-injury)

I believe that. This is a perfect opportunity for some, no, all of our players on D. Front seven especially. Wilson is so good escaping the pocket and extending plays. Our defense is going to have to be disciplined, but I think they will make a ton of good plays. Hopefully, they create a lot of turnovers.

How bout we see some snake charmin from the dope smokin number 1 with all the speed and athleticism we been hearing about for ages?

The Hags are this groups Cowpokes before the demolition in Green Bay when they were old and done. 24-13 Hags.

 

Still expect the Hags to take a step down this year and the Pack will avoid them in the payoffs but don't have a good feeling this week.

The Packers won't just win, they will dominate.  Just as you kick through the ball, they will drive through Seattle and won't stop until the remains on the road are unrecognizable.

I keep hearing the media and fans say that. Yes, they lost Unger and looked bad Sunday, but they also played the best defensive front in the NFL in week 1 (IMO).  The Bears also supposedly had a bad OL and the Packer D-line didn't exactly force their will. Will let you know how bad the Seattle O-line is Sunday night. 

Seahawks OL is a bit unsettled and somewhat limited in talent

However, its tough to make direct comparisons and the Rams DL are some of the best as noted by Packdog

 

Also worth noting:

The Rams use (4) top- of- the- 1st round DL players on every single down

The Packers use 2 DL on most downs and 3 on occasion

GB has (1) 1st rounder, a 4th rounder and a 5th in Guion or a 5th in Boyd

 

What GB asks of their DL is completely different than what a 4-3 team asks of their DL

 

Datone Jones was occasionally used as a spy vs Wilson last time around - his athleticism vs the runners like Kap and Wilson was one of the reasons they drafted him.

GB needs to keep Wilson in the pocket and force him to be a short-statured passer. They did a heck of a job early in the NFCCG, hope they can do it again

       
       
Versus the Giants in the playoffs of 2011 (lost by 17) is the last time we lost by double digits, at home, with Aaron Rodgers playing the whole game. Before that there are only two other instances: 2009 vs. Minnesota (lost by 12) and 2008 versus Dallas (lost by 11). Aaron Rodgers is 71-33 as a starting QB and we have only lost by double digits 10 times...the good/bad news is that he's 5-5 after a double digit loss so, there's that.

But he still can't bring a team back to win in the 4Q.  

 

I say this week he will bring his team back to eke out a win with a crunch-time drive, 31-30, as Crosby nails a gimme from 24 yards out.

How many 1st rounders are they going to have on the OL this week? 

Generally speaking, OTs are the O-line position picked in Round 1, and usually guys who are tried at LT. It takes a fairly rare pure OG or C to be picked there.

 

 

Pack wins 31 - 20

Who here remembers the night game where the Seahawks came to Green Bay and the wind was stout as heck? Sherman was the coach. Favre would throw the ball and you could see it slow down.

 

Anyway, with Pete Carroll's astounding decisions at the end of a game, I don't see how the Packers lose.

 

 

I'm still trying to figure out how a snake can fall down.

For me, this reminds me of the Texans game 3 years ago where I was sure the Texans would put a beatdown on the Pack, and yet the opposite happened.

 

I feel like right now things are swinging Seattle's way and therefore.... I will pick the opposite of my gut:  Packers 27 Seahags 24.  It will be ugly and some will say the Pack got lucky somehow, but they will win in some weird way, like maybe a controversial pass interference call that leads to a winning TD.
