Leslie said this morning that he "stands by his decision to play Freeman" and he "understands the reason they did it"

Which lends more credibility to the idea that they didn't want Freeman to lay his "first start egg" vs the Packers and they hoped he could steal a win from the Giants to build momentum for their national TV exposure on Sunday. Mike Spofford at packers.com echoed that sentiment in his chat yesterday

The Packers are in their heads and the last thing they wanted was another Packer beat-down in front of millions

Vikes are a mess. If they think Freeman is going to be significantly better prepared Sunday night versus last Monday they are delusional.

Kevin Seifart said it best when Frazier announced yesterday that Freeman would start vs Green Bay  â€“     @SeifertESPN:  Preseason Week 2

Jennings will be out to prove a point, and his coach knows itâ€Ķ

@RobDemovsky

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier on Greg Jennings vs. #Packers: "It’s hard to tell him not to look at it as just another game on the schedule."

â€Ķ but I expect we’ll see more of this.  https://vine.co/v/hdFe5BEI5xW

Green Bay wins easily.

It's the queens superbowl so they will come out all lathered up like junkyard dogs. First quarter could be tough for the Pack against a fierce queen start, and could be close going into the half. But by the 3rd quarter or so the Packers will wear them down and start pulling away. End of game should see a nice victory margin for AR and crew. 31-12.

Jennings had a conf call with the Packers media guys today.

Does Greg Jennings wish Rodgers was still his QB? "No. God has blessed me to move on from that. I've embraced my situation and my role here"

Seems he and the hill-billy are on the same page.

GJ on Ponder vs. Rodgers: Not trying to compare. I have enough comparisons to make with 3 different guys here.

Translation: the QB situation here sucks... so I'm embracing it

This.

The Packers better be ready for a heavy dose of AP.  And if they can't get to Ponder, Ponder will get the ball to the TE and WRs.  On the offensive side of the ball, the line better keep Rodgers upright and make some lanes for Lacy.  Special Teams.....well we're talking about Slocum versus a pretty good opponent.

If the Packers aren't prepared, the Vikes will make it a game.

AP claims he was holding himself back vs the Giants and vows to be ready for the Pack. Vikings will rally around this and put on their best for their "Superbowl".  Look for Ponder to lean on Kyle Rudolph when not feeding Peterson. Of course, Jennings will have to make the Packers 2ndary look bad for 1 play so his sister doesn't clean his clock, and Cowboy will do his best to terrorize Bahktiari.  All this "excitement" for the Vikings will keep them close through most of the 1st half. Packers will then settle down as Lacy/Starks start to wear down the Vikings D and Rodgers starts having fun picking apart the very, very sad Vikings secondary. The Queenies will never be able to cover Jordy the way the Browns did last week, opening things up even more for Boykin.

Final score: Pack 30, Queenies 17

I don't think the Vikes lay two eggs in a row.  And I don't see AP having back to back down games.  First of all, they're at home.  AP is good on every surface, but especially at home on the turf.  Freeman was abysmal.  I don't think Ponder is very good, but he'll be better than Freeman was last week.  And the Vikes are playing their bitter rival.  They'll try to get pumped for this game.

The best thing for the Packers would be to take Minny out of the game early.  The longer they're in it, the better the chances for an upset.
