Christian Yelich picked a really bad time to morph back into 2021 Yeli.

In August he’s 16 for 62 (.262 AVG), with 2 doubles. He’s slashing .357 OBP/.290 SLG/.647 OPS. NL composite OPS is .740, meaning that he’s an 87 OPS+ player this month, before park adjustments.

in 26 innings, Milwaukee scored 3 runs and had 10 hits in 86 AB, a .116 AVG.

The power seems to have disappeared again, which probably means we'll soon hear about how his back is starting to flare up again. His back was medically flagged way back with the Marlins as a potentially major issue.

He's had a decent year. He's ranked 32nd in MLB in OPS. I think he peaked about 2-3 weeks ago at 21st.

He's been a borderline all-star, but the Brewers didn't sign him for 26 million a year until 2027 to be a borderline all-star. He's likely going to never be better than he is this year for the rest of his career, and even this year, he isn't capable of carrying the team for stretch of games like he did in 2018 and 2019.

With the new stolen base favoring rules, he has more value than he did a year ago. During the off-season, maybe you can trade him for something. This off-season might be their last chance to do it.

Why are the Brewers not promoting Keston Hiura at this point? He might be the worst defensive player in the league, but there is no reason he can't get some at bats at DH. Right now his OPS in AAA is 969 with 20 HRs in 269 ABs.

He wasn't great at the major league level last year, but his OPS was still 765. That would rank 4th on this year's team. He strikes out an enormous amount, but is there is really any difference between the weak groundouts and popups we are seeing now and striking out? He could at least give you what a washed-up Santana can - the chance to hit a HR on a mistake pitch.
