It's amazing how few yards mark Ingram gets when playing against a team with real inside linebackers.
I thought the Saints were unbeatable at home, wasn't that the excuse when the they put up 44 on the Packers?
Have they won a game in New Orleans since we played them?
No. They have lost 3 in a row at home since the Packer game.
Everyone keeps assuming the Saints will win the division. I'm not too sure given the tailspin they're in, and the way Atlanta keeps winning against division opponents. Could go to tiebreakers...
So ATL will win the south at 6-10. And host a playoff game. Good grief.
I'm alright with it. Division champs matter even when the whole division sucks. It's provides entertainment and long odds.

Nope, and they've only scored a total of 61 points in their 3 home games since putting up 44 with ease vs the Packers defense
I honestly can't understand how GB is 8-3 and NO is 4-7 given what happened 4 weeks ago. It just doesn't make any logical sense.
While we're here. My abacus broke trying to figure out a way Carolina win's the division at 4-11-1. The Atlanta game on the final weekend is what finally made it crash.
It probably helps that the other teams facing the Saints actually can force them to punt the ball away

You show up at the most curious times.
He came for the cheese blintzes I brought, sorry.
Re Ravens Justin Forsett:
@RapSheet: At #Wisconsin, RB coach Thomas Hammock coached Melvin Gordon, James White and Montee Ball, who led the country. Doing the same with Forsett.
Decent resume' working here.

If a team "wins" their division after finishing 7-9 or worse, they should lose their playoff spot to a team with a winning record. An example of this in action would have been the 10-6 Buccaneers or 10-6 Giants taking a playoff spot instead of the 7-9 Seahawks back in 2010. That's all that would need to be done to fix this problem. I know the Seahawks won a wild card game, but it was a joke to see them make it in. The importance of division games and titles would be preserved, and the playoffs would be improved. If they completely scrapped the current playoff format, then divisional games would become meaningless.

Forsett made me some cash this week on Fanduel. Good job Coach "Banana" Hammock.
Re: Pack-Man....I'll amend your prop of the division winners to 8-8 or better. If you're less than .500 you don't deserve the playoffs
8-8 should be the cutoff point. It's somewhat plausible that a decent team could finish 8-8 due to key injuries/bad luck. 7-9? Not so much. However, if a team like the Falcons or Saints does manage to host a playoff game after going 6-10, I won't be crying if they manage to score an upset against the Lions. In fact, I'd laugh, a lot.
What about 8-7-1 ?
One of those teams in the NFC South is going to win that division under .500.
I can't see either the Saints or Falcons finishing the season 4-1 or better.
EDIT: 8-7-1 is better than 8-8
My guess is that the winner of the NFC South will go 6-10. 5-11 would be hilarious, but one of those two turds will manage to win two of the next five.
No, a division winner with a losing record should not be booted from the playoffs. Regardless of how you look at it, that would devalue divisions and division games. A division winner with a losing record, IMHO, should forfeit its playoff home game and have to go play a wildcard team with a far better record on the road.
Good add. Bottom line we want to see the best in the playoffs & the best teams should be rewarded for performing well in the regular season.
First goal for every head coach every single season is to win the division. Doesn't matter how many games you win, winning the division is important. More than a third of the schedule is the division. You win the division, you make the playoffs!
