Did that GB team not have names on their backs? I never thought of it before and never looked for it in other pics but the last pic on the link shows #26 without a name on his uni.

That picture of Fred "The Hammer" Williamson being carried off field. I remember the Packers were kind of chuckling about that on the sidelines because of all the trash talk he had been doing before the game.

Names on the uniforms didn't start until sometime later. Later 60's, early 70's... something like that. Anyone know the year for sure?

#26 was one of the greatest athletes in Packer history...and beyond.
AFL put names on jerseys in the 60's , NFL didn't do it until the merger in 1970.

I recall one of the Packers, most likely Henry Jordan, saying Donny Anderson hit Williamson with his wallet--a reference to Anderson's then considerable salary, making him the highest paid player on the team at that time.
