I couldn't imagine the Lions being too concerned with which QB starts/plays for the Packers. Of course, ARod playing would be a complete surprise, but it's not likely, especially in light of MM's comments today.

Whether it's Flynn or Tolzien, I'd think the Lions will stack the box to defend the run, and depend on their front 4 for pressure on pass plays. That's nothing new, and I don't think it will change until ARod is back.

I'm as happy as everyone about Rodgers taking a step forward, but he likely isn't playing Thursday so the fact that Jolly, Neal, and Shields were FULL today is huge. The offense behind Flynn can put up points on DET, but can the defense get enough stops?

Packers INJ: Barclay limited, Jolly full, Neal full, Newhouse full, Perry limited, Rodgers limited, Shields full, Sitton full, Wilson DNP.

Sitton said on Sports Radio 1250 in Milwaukee that he believes if injured quarterback Aaron Rodgers returned on Thursday in Detroit, the players on the Lions’ defensive line would deliver a cheap shot with the idea that they’d take a fine and a 15-yard penalty to hurt the opposing quarterback. Sitton said he thinks the Lions’ players play dirty, and that coach Jim Schwartz, defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham and defensive line coach Kris Kocurek encourage their players to play dirty.

β€œThey go after quarterbacks, their entire defense takes cheap shots all the time,” Sitton said. β€œThat’s what they do, that’s who they are. They’re a bunch of dirtbags or scumbags. I mean, that’s just how they play. That’s how they’re coached. That starts with their frickin’ coach. That starts with their head coach, Schwartz. He’s a dick, too. I wouldn’t want to play for him. It starts with him and their D-coordinator and their D-line coach. They’re all just scumbags and so are the D-line.”

Josh Sitton is my new favorite Packer.

this isn't the first time.

Sitton was on a podcast after the first Lions game and was asked about Riaola yelling at the UW band members. Sitton called him a "cocky little douchebag" and said it all comes from their "dickhead of a coach".

There's a lot of bad blood between these two teams, especially up front with Lang, Sitton and EDS vs. Fairly and Suh.

What's nice is the Packers have typically dominated Suh and Fairly. Hopefully that continues on Thanksgiving because I doubt Newhouse will do too well vs. Willie Young.

Probable: T Don Barclay (knee, limited practice on Wednesday), DL Johnny Jolly (groin), LB/DL Mike Neal (abdomen, DNP), T Marshall Newhouse (shoulder, full), LB Nick Perry (foot/ankle, limited), CB Sam Shields (hamstring, full), G Josh Sitton (back, full).

Questionable: TE Brandon Bostick (concussion, DNP)

Out: QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone, limited), RB Johnathan Franklin (concussion/neck, DNP), LB Jamari Lattimore (quad, DNP), DL C.J. Wilson (ankle, DNP).
