Besides the almost unbelievable run to get to the SB, this season is producing a really remarkable situation for almost any team to find itself in.

The team seems solid now.

But the return of Grant, Burnett, Barnett, Chillar, Jones, Finley and Neal -- and possibly Jolly, depending on how that all shakes out -- will be huge, even if some of them aren't able to come back effectively.

Then there's the other IR guys -- Newhouse, Tauscher, Smith, Martin, Havner, Poppinga, even Justin Harrell to choose from. All of these guys made this team earlier.

This would be a susbstantial reinforcement and boost for almost any team -- but THEN there's the draft.

I've never seen a personnel situation like this. As to the draft I'd guess the only real need (not that you can ever have too many good players) might be an eventual replacement for Donald Driver, who does not seem as effective as in previous years. I have no idea how good Swain is.

Can we field a farm team somewhere?

It's a good situation. We'll also get a comp pick for AK74, probably in the 3rd or 4th round.

The Packers are in good shape, even with the looming CBA mess. The teams that will be hurt the most are those with new coaches/coordinators or schemes. GB is not affected by these issues, so if minicamps/offseason training/training camp are affected or not held at all, the Packers will be in a good position. Basically, the injured guys will have more time to heal. The future looks bright. Cool
A word of advice: Don't dare look past Super Bowl 45.

I remember thinking that our Super Bowl in 2006 was just the springboard for a LONG run of success for the Bears: we'd won the division in '05, got to the Super Bowl in '06, and, at that point, had one of 2-3 youngest teams in the league. The sky seemed to be the limit.

Didn't happen. Not saying the same thing will happen to the Packers, it probably won't, but the line between Super Bowl and also-ran status is precarious in today's NFL.

You're almost at the summit--enjoy the view.

The journey has just begun and we will live it every day for the rest of our lives. The Pack is not a one season opportunity but a way of life and that way of life is something that I want to enjoy through thick and thin for the rest of my life!

Some good, some not so good. When it's good enjoy it a little more and realize that the down seasons are a time to dream of the future and cherish the good times. Thanks MM, TT and MM.

Seems to emulate family and friends!
