Looking to the 15th - Atlanta or NYG?

I don't care who we play.

Don't underestimate the Lions chances either.

I want Packers/Niners in the NFC CG.

The Giants look like they could be peaking about now and could give us a good game so I think I would rather play the Falcons. Or, the Lions again. Get the dome teams outside at Lambeau.

The fact is that the Pack have beaten each of the teams below them other than the niners. I think that they have the correct mindset to plow through. Flynn's game against NE last year was the launching point for this team. I think that yesterdays game will be the same. I don't think it will matter who they play. The Pack can beat any of these teams. Obviously they could beat the Pack on the right day. That being said I think that the Falcons would be the most preferred team if you can put in an order. I am not sure they can stop the O. None of those teams really seem like they can stop the Pack if this and last seasons games against these opponents are any indications.

The Giants are the team that concerns me the most out of anybody. But then again, GB is going to roll into the playoffs fully healthy it appears. This is a badass team and it's going to take one helluva effort to beat GB.

I worry it'll be the Lions. I can see Brees putting up good numbers, but the Lions destroyed us yesterday on D. They could do the same to NO. Then, the Lions coming to Lambeau could prove troublesome. It's tough to beat anyone three times in a year, much less 22 times in a row whether it's home or away. Not saying we can't do it, or being a Chicken Little, but I am being realistic. IF the Lions could play disciplined, they would be a very good team.

Of the Giants or Dirty Birds, the Giants worry me more. Eli has a stupid knack for spinning away and heaving up the ball to save the game, ala the Super Bowl and last night. Then they have two runners who can bleed the clock. Matty Meltdown has had an average year and I think our secondary could victimize him. Their running game could be trouble, but with Pickett back it would help.

Any way you look at it, it's a tough road to repeat. Even if we don't (blasphemy, I know), it's been a helluva long, wonderful, magical ride.

If I had a gun to my head and had to pick, I'd say the Giants will be who the Pack will play. Eli seems to be playing quite well the last couple of weeks and Atlanta just isn't the same team when they're outside of their dome.

Certainly the Giants are the scariest because they have a QB that has won at Lambeau in the playoffs, isn't afraid of anything, and they've got some pass rushers that could potentially slow the Pack down enough to keep the Giants close.

I'd be shocked if that immature Detroit team beat the Saints. I know I've been trashed before (and deservedly so) for saying they have some guys with Hall Of Fame talent, but that HOF talent is too young and immature right now to deal with Brees and Co. Stafford and C. Johnson had some breakout seasons, but they are no match for the Saints in that dome.

Forget about ATL or the Giants. I want the Lions again for a couple of reasons.

1) no way that Detroit equals their offensive effort again
2) work over that punk Schwartz and his cheap shot artist team

Well I expect at least one upset this weekend and IMO that will be the Falcons winning.

Detroit would need a miracle to beat NO.

If the Falcons meet GB in Lambeau TOG will be on the ATL sideline.

In case anyone has forgotten, Atlanta has Julio Jones now. We want NO part of that.

There's just no way Detroit's secondary will be able to keep up with the Saints receivers. Brees should be able to slaughter them regularly and repeatedly. Detroit is susceptible to the run, so Sproles could have a big day as well.
Of course, Stafford and Johnson are a dangerous combination, but that's their only real threat on offense. I doubt we'll see some no-name rookie have another 2 TD performance against an essentially second-string defense.

The same also applies to Atlanta vs the Giants. They are terrible in the secondary, and the Giants have too many weapons they can't match. Eli may be forced to throw more than normal if they can't get a rush attack going against the Falcons.
The Giants aren't much better against the pass, but I don't think the Falcons O-line will be able to handle the Giants pass rush, and we know that Matty Ass doesn't throw well on the run.

I would much rather play the Falcons for the above reasons, but when the dust settles, it doesn't matter who comes to Lambeau. We are equal-opportunity ass-kickers!

When Detroit lost in N.O. they were without Suh. Maybe this time they rattle Drew's cage? A few hard sacks and he may be ordinary. His record yards are tainted by the yards he got passing late in games up by 2+ touchdowns. Probably 5-800 pile on yards. I'm thinking Detroit has a 30% chance of an upset. The ATL is in trouble going to N.Y. Pack most likely plays N.Y. and San Fran.

Hope it's the Falcons. I don't like the idea of playing the Giants for some reason.

Both of the NFC mathchups this week are pretty solid.

The Lions/Saints game should feature a lot of points and it would not surprise me to see a 45-42 game or something like that. I actually give Detroit a chance in this game because they can match points with New Orleans, and the Saints don't exactly have a killer defense either. Turnovers could decide this one.

As for Giants/Falcons, it's sort of the same story. Both teams can rush the passer, but neither can stop the pass very well. I don't expect it to be as high scoring as the Lions/Saints, but it should be pretty entertaining.

out of 16 games this year we won "with that defense"(as Rodney Harrison called it this weekend) 15 times. the one game we lost was because the offense didn't show up.

People have no problem bringing up KC game when referring to Packers but nobody mentions how the Giants just lost a home game that same weekend to the Redskins. Atlanta has been one of the better teams the last 2/3 of the season, only losing to New Orleans twice (once in OT) and Houston. I think they'll go into NY and beat the Giants.

I'd like to give Detroit a shot against NO I just don't see it. If they had any semblance of a running game I'd give them a chance. Their only real hope is to jump ahead early, maybe get a pick 6 and try to get the crowd out of the game.

Green Bay/Atlanta would be something like a 31-20 Packer win.

The Packers got their OL back. (Or presumably will when Bulaga comes back; more important was the absence of Sitton from the Giants game.)

Cannot complain about the Packers injury situation. By the way, one extra advantage of their record, the ability to rest the hurting.

According to player quotes after the Lions game, the Packers feel like they are the ones with the January advantage at Lambeau. Whether or not it's true, it is really good to hear.

Also, the last time the team had a January playoff game, McCarthy got burned by a me-first QB who let the last of his testosterone freeze in his gonads. That won't be happening this time. McCarthy already said as much now that they have a heated outdoor practice field.

I think the Giants are getting healthy and have a better DL to get to the QB. The Falcons/Giants is a good matchup. White and Jones will give the Giants fits in coverage. The Giants did fall asleep for a good stretch of the second half against the Cowboys.

I see the Giants getting to Ryan, he's make mistakes and the Bradshaw/Manning will do the rest.

If we protect Rodgers, no way the Giants secondary can keep up with us.

I trust we'll cover Cruz and force Eli into his typical 2-3 INTs.... followed by his bewildered look as he walks to the sidelines...
