The Hawkeyes try to win it all against a very tough LSU Tigers team. All eyes will be on the Iowa phenom, Caitlin Clark, who has had 40+ points in each of her last two games, in this Tournament. This ought to be a great game. I'm rooting for the Hawkeyes, representing the Big Ten, today. Iowa is the last BigTen team standing, in either the Mens or Women's BB teams.

A big run by LSU and another 3, at the buzzer, by Carson, makes the score 59-42, LSU, at the half.
Iowa down 17. We'll see what they can do in the 2nd half. LSU has been known to give up leads, in the 3rd quarter. I feel LSU will cool down on the 3 shooting and that could give Iowa the chance it needs to close the gap.
Reese elbows Czinano in the face and then hits her in the nose with her shoulder. Foul called on Czinano and it is under review.
Review says it's a foul on Czinano.

Similar review as before, but now Czinano is being reviewed for elbowing LSU player. LSU loses the challenge. Fair call as they did not call an offensive foul earlier.
LSU' s Johnson shoves Martin out of bounds. No call. Cheap technical on Iowa's Clark. LSU gets 4 FTs on the foul and the T. Clark, Warnock and Czinano all with 4 fouls for Iowa.
At the end of the 3rd Quarter it's LSU leading Iowa 75-64.
Review of the T on Clark: T looked to be unwarranted.

Refs were inconsistent, but LSU was the better team.

Agree, but then again we don’t know everything that was said during the game.
It was painful watching Iowa try to get a rebound.
Iowa played small ball all year and Clark is amazing. Then they faced LSU that just punishes you physically and Iowa had no answer.

I didn’t see Caitlin doing it in the opponents face.
The true losers were the English language, class and higher education:

The real shame is all some people in the media want to discuss were the antics and trash talk.
I mean, both teams had incredible seasons and brought a lot of viewers to the women’s game yet let’s focus on what was said or done instead of how they played.
It’s basketball. If you don’t think there’s a certain amount of banter that goes on then you either haven’t played or don’t watch.
The best trash talker in NBA history? Larry Bird. He was incredible at it. LOL! He used it to motivate himself and to intimidate his opponents. I wish he was miked.
