My first real memories of the Packers are John Brockington and MacArthur Lane and I couldn't ask for better. RIP ripped man of power.
And then you had to wait another ten years for the playoffs.
all good things in all good time.... well, unless you're a viks fan

Same here.
Taylor and Hornung were just before my time. I watched Anderson and Grabowski try to recapture the glory of the Packers sweep with modest success.
But when they brought McArthur Lane in from Saint Louis to pair with John Brockington I was in football heaven.
Heavy-fisted football.
BTW: Look at the facemask on Lane's helmet.
No player, especially DBs, wanted to tackle Brock and Lane play after play. RIP, big fella.
had his autograph once. He was at a shopping maul I think.
Heck. RIP Mr Lane.
Lane takes a screen pass and breaks free for a touchdown. Unable to stop he falls over the tarp and disappears behind it. One of my fondest memories of NFL football
Just bake another cake, no?
I remember very well when MacArthur Lane was traded to the Packers and the incredible impact he had on that '72 team and season. He and Brockington were truly awesome together and a pleasure to watch. I agree, he was somewhat underappreciated: A genuinely great runner, blocker, receiver, teammate and leader. He was one of my childhood Packer heroes and will never be forgotten. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Very little joy during the dark days, but Brockington-Lane was definitely a bright spot.
RIP

Very Osh-like, PLVA!
So sad! RIP MacArthur!
The Packers 1972 team was my first real memory of the Packers and Lane and Brockington were my favorite two players. It is crazy seeing childhood heroes start to pass away.
RIP
