Manufactured Content - Bright Side of Shelter in Place

I've played music all my life and knew it was important to me but this time in history has really brought it home like a hammer.
Can't go out to see live music, can't play out, and then all the socializing that goes with both plus the loss of taverns and restaurants social circles. 
I'll survive and adapt but big unfulfilled holes in my life currently.  Only socializing I get is the grocery store.  Been thinking I should buy a six pack in the liquor dept first thing and then have a few with people as I shop....

On the brighter side, my daughter made it home from world traveling just in time and is riding out the storm with me.  What a world.

My daughter and grandson made it back from spring break in Ireland the Friday before everything was shut down.

No but on First Fridays we got a mug of cocoa and a chocolate long john!

It was a payback for no breakfast before the 1st Friday service.

Should see a dramatic reduction in automobile fatalities.

Drove on I-94 north of Black River Falls yesterday.  1st time I ever saw more semis than cars or pick ups on that interstate.

Every time I hear Black River Falls I'm reminded of this book I read in the 70s.

For the first time ever I made porcupine meatballs. 

porcupine meatballs - an almost weekly meal at the lutheran grade school I attended.  haven't thought about those in years.

I never had porcupine meat balls.  I "get the point" other ways.  I didn't even know such a thing existed.  

My SCUBA instructor made us do 'bail outs' over beds of spiny urchins and  then LOL when he asked if we got the point.

They were delicious!!!!  I might add some shredded aged cheddar next time tho. 

Porcupine meatballs are one of those fun-name-easy-to-cook things. Good stuff -- carbs and protein all in one!

Porcupine meatball update - I looked it up on line and found out they were meatballs with rice.  While I don't know if I ever had them, come to find out my wife knew about them.  I think I will ask her to fix some for me in a nice sauce of some sort.

Last few nights I've been watching the 2014 REGULAR season. That was a really good team.
