Game was middle to later May. Early 2000's. On the way in to Wrigley from Aurora sleet and hail fell so hard that I-88 was a sheet of ice. We figured no way a game was going to be played but made our way to the stadium anyways. all around was dark, rain, sleet but at the stadium, there was one small hole in the clouds and it was sunny the entire time.
I had to buy a hat.
NFL- my second team growing up was the Chargers, my guy was Dan Fouts.
NBA- Hakeem Olajuwon, who I think is the second greatest player to ever play. I know, I know... but offense/defense there isn’t a better player in my eyes.
MLB- before joining the National League, my first experience of cable TV was watching the Cubs on WGN. Day games, Harry Carey, and Ryne Sandberg.
