Wilson gets out of it !
Brewers win !!!!
And a winning road trip to boot. Wow another cliff hanger.
Whew, that was closer than it needed to be. Not sure what our manager was thinking letting him face Rodriguez, but Iβll take it.
13-5 is a heck of a great start. Now if we can get Woody back and healthyβ¦,
6-3 an 3 on this road trip. Lets make it 7-3 Crew. So many tense moments through this. This team just keeps finding ways to win.
Third save for monsieur Wilson.
Two of the 'three inning' variety in blowout wins and one traditional save.
Best bullpen in the NL.
Well, he certainly makes it interesting. Iβd prefer he not load the bases for the other teamβs best hitter too often though.
Letβs see if the Brewers finally get a little respect start of next week. They had the second best run differential, and third best record, and this clown for ESPN had them ranked sixth.
Then again, Milwaukee teams never get any respect. Weβre all just midwestern rubes without the sophistication of the East Coast, right? π€ͺ
@lambeausouth posted:This scrub Bryse Wilson with a 5.37 career ERA is the best pitcher we have for closing this one out? Seriously?
What? Wilson has 3 saves this year and Williams only has 2.
Not to be overlooked is the effort by Rea. He had one bad inning but still gave the Brewers 5 innings. He's going to be getting all the starts he can earn with Woodie out for a couple months.
And Payamps. Usually he makes it a little exciting but tonight he comes in and throws two pitches and gets two batters out.
Technically, Wilson only has 2 saves. He got the win, not a save tonight.

I realized that later, I forgot he pitched two innings. In fact he might even get charged with a blown save for surrendering a 5-4 lead.
Afternoon ball for the Brewers to end the road trip. Eric Lauer gets the start, vs Marco Gonzales . also, Garrett Mitchell put on the 10 day injured list.

Looks like they replaced him with Blake Perkins.
Interesting they didn't consider Hiura. He's now hit 7 home runs at AAA with an OPS of more than 1000.

Brother man.
They donβt hang pennants at stadiums memorializing where teams are ranked. Truly, why does it matter?
Turang with a double drives in 2 runs. Now Tellez singles and drives in more. 5-2 Crew.
Sa-weeet.
This team is just built different. Just a bunch of base hits and 5 runs. That didn't happen much last year. Now Turang makes a play in the field we wouldn't have seen last year. Was that a 3 pitch inning? Quite the shut down following a 5 spot.
Another solid game from Lauer.
Up 5-2 headed to the bottom of the ninth, and we allow a double and hit a batter.
First and second, no outs.
Get out of this.
Bases loaded. No out. Maybe get someone up, Craig?
1 out. A double play ball would be lovely.
And another single. 5-3.
Hey Counsell, wake up???? Your pitcher is not effective.
Really! Matt Bush? Not Williams?
Just one more put. Any out. Iβll take a weak dribbler to second here.

Not pretty at the end, but a win is a win.
14-5. This team keeps finding ways to win.
7-3 road trip wow !
Impressive start to the season!
A + 35 run differential after 19 games is pretty sexy. Now we have the Red Sox at home for 3.
13 consecutive days with a game and in 4 different cities to go 9-4 in that stretch. What a ride that 10 game road trip was ! A much well deserved day off for this great Brewers team we have. This has been quite a fun and unexpected start to the season. This team just feels so much different than last years.

Counsell is such a bad manager the Brewers should be 19-0. What in the hell is the matter with him? I don't know who is more off their rocker, you or Goldie.
We are very lucky that Counsell is a local guy. Otherwise, one of the coastal teams would already have him (I'm sure they've reached out behind the scenes).
In 2018, he could have easily won a title in Milwaukee.
