be more successful as a Packers quarterback than Brett Favre. Now don't get me wrong...I am not saying that he will start infinity games in a row, break the records for TD's, yards, etc. What I am saying is the Rodgers will bring more championships to Green Bay than Favre. The talent around Rodgers is undeniable and being a very very young team that will continue to grow together with Rodgers. I also believe in MM and TT and think they are the best duo to hit Green Bay since Holmgren and Wolf and will make the right moves (and yes not bringing back Favre is the right move) to keep the Packers competitive. I am very excited about this up coming season and I am pissed at Favre for starting this pissing match. Time to pull off the gloves (now that he has) and say Brett, he are your options...come back and compete for your job, let us trade you to a team we can both agree on...or stay retired. That is it!! Your call...let us know in a week so we can get the ball rolling.
Rejoice Packer fans...the future is bright and it will be delivered by AR!!!
Wake me up when Error-on wins the Lombardi Trophy.....
Wake me when Favre wins one. Surely Reggie and Desmond didn't have anything to do with Super Bowl 31.
Why, that's brilliant, Zeke!
Watch the tape Dude. First pass to Rison. Then before halftime he scampers in for another TD. How about the passes to Free?
Get off the crack pipe
Get off the crack pipe
What about his poor play to let new England back into the game. Forget Desmond's changing TD return or Reggie's Super Bowl record 3 sacks.
I thought you were sleeping, zeke?

I saw Reggie White get 3 sacks on the tape.
His brain fell asleep a long time ago.
Kick returner/punt returner Desmond Howard was named Super Bowl MVP, the first special teams player ever to do so. He ran for 154 kickoff return yards, and scored the game-clinching touchdown on a Super Bowl record 99-yard kickoff return. Howard also recorded a Super Bowl record 90 punt return yards, thus setting the Super Bowl records of total return yards (244) and combined net yards gained (244). Howard became the 4th Heisman Trophy winner to be named Super Bowl MVP.
Favre also barely completed 50 % of his passes while the D had 4 ints. MY GOD!

This is the thesis and I am saying it's wrong. I am not saying Favre single handidly won SB 31.
Well, he did. Lord Faaaaarve.

So you don't thikn Rodgers can win one title? LMAO.
No I don't
In all fairness to Zeke, Aaron is not Favre and we all know only one Super Bowl winning QB was named Favre. So...okay, I'm confused, come again.
Aaron Rodgers will need a new HC before too long.
BTW, who is it supposed to be, Bartkowski? Or Bratkowski?

I thought it was BERTkowski . . .

Interesting smurf. Funny how this idiot shows up since Harry Dunn is doing time in Emo Chicken's world.
Hope so, but it's the sound and fury signifying nothing at this point.

Maybe it is "Brent"kowski?
Someone needs to take a look at the play by play of that Super Bowl game and pay particular attention to Howard's punt returns alone, not just the kickoff he took to the house, or his other kick off returns. He still holds the record for most punt return yards--90--in a Super Bowl. (Second place is 56 yards.) He set the Packers offense up time and time again in that game and deserved the MVP.

Well Henry, you're close, but Let's Be Frank here. Zeke doesn't have the mental capacity to keep up with somebody like the-icon.
OTOH a guy like Frank Cerne would never be interested in Timesfour.
Frankly, I don't mind when snivelers slink back onto the board. Makes for good target practice.
Nice Jim Plunkett head.

Wow, an oldie but truly a goodie.

ROTTT = Reign of Ted "Turks" Thompson
I LOVE resurrected threads. Wonder how many of the naysayers are either crying in their purple #4 jersies or will be conveniently sbsent for several months? AR12 is a Superbowl champion AND Superbowl MVP!!!
Anyone remember to wake Zeke?
I love how after the game, AR is still upset for not closing out with a TD on that last drive.

I kicked him in the face.
All time best QB performance in the SB against the best D in football. Yezh, he sucks. Needs a new HC that can coach him up, then maybe, maybe he could lose more games for Zeke.
Rodger's performance was superior to Favre's SB performance in the SB the Packers won.quote:Originally posted by da Yooper:

Why We Love Aaron Rodgers
Poor Aaron Rodgers. He's had to sit on the bench for three years. Packers fans are holding rallies in support of Brett Favre. Nobody seems to love him. Except us. Here's why:
โข Because he plays with an adult-like enthusiasm.

Mark my words he's the next Mike Tomczak
This is the POST of the thread. diggy ain't got nothing on Fizzr.

My daughter-in-law is still upset too. She thought she had crappy numbers on her pool. If they'd have scored a TD there she'd of won $300 with 5 - 5
To Bill "Turks" Brasky!

quote:But the arrival of Cutler in Chicago definitely changes things. The Packers, who have lost seven of the past 10 meetings to Chicago when it had terrible quarterbacks, have to get pressure on Cutler. If they don't, he'll pick them apart continuously and the Packers won't sniff another win against the Bears for some time.
Bedard had it right with the last part of this statement:
On Thursday, Cutler became the guy for the Bears. And depending on what you read or whom you talk to, he's either a budding NFL superstar or a stubborn, thin-skinned player who never will lead a team to the Super Bowl.
