Marsha Lynch would have looked great in a Packers uniform. Matti Flynn will never be the starter in Seattle as long as Wilson is there, should of went to Miami and started. Is this the week when the Packers put the offense together like real Packers should?

I agree with this from Bowen:

Maybe it is called, maybe it isn’t. But that’s the point here because I don’t see any consistency from these replacement officiating crews when it comes to the passing game.

which takes me back... even tho it "kinda" happened I thought the offensive PI on James Jones on opening day v the niners was pretty damn ticky tack given the way they were letting the DBs mug everyone. I didn't think he really pushed off so much as claimed his space. didn't want to start a thread on it but did get in an argument at the game with a niner fan over it... and I used the word "bull****" way too much. Good article at JSO today about the offense's struggles against the deep cover 2, specifically that so far it has been taking away the big passing plays, and that it seems like defensive coordinators have been studying the Pack's scheme and defending it better than last year.

Bottom line: take what they give you. If this turns into a grind-it-out, dink-and-dunk kind of game, I'm O.K. with that.

time to unveil Alex Green in the flat, screen or otherwise.
MM's pretty good at adjusting. If the DCs have caught up with his old plan I'm sure they'll have fun with the next one.
The key to the dink and dunk offense is consistency. You have to gain positive yardage on almost every play to make it work b/c you can't let yourself get in 3rd and long. You have to gain yards every run play, you can't drop passes, you can't get negative yardage via sacks and penalties, and you have to convert 3rd and shorts.

For all the athletic ability the Packers receivers have, they're not consistent catching the football. And for whatever reason, their o-line can't pick up a 3rd and 1. This makes the dink and dunk offense really challenging, which is what we've seen through 2 games. Hopefully that turns around this week.

I preceded bull**** with another colorful metaphor

If you're going to let the DB's mug the WR's, then you have to allow a Michael Irvin type push-off too

The inconsistency of the refs is driving me nuts
There's a part of me that enjoys seeing the defenses get to play a bit more physical with the new refs than they were playing with the old ones.

I thought things had swung way way too much towards the offense in terms of rule changes the past 6 or 7 years and last year was sort of the culmination of it where mediocre QBs looked good, good QBs looked great, great QBs looked otherwordly.

That said though, it's the inconsistency that is maddening. You can have 2 plays with the exact same scenario and it's called differently each time. Very tough to overcome that sort of officiating. I guess the only good thing you can say is that it's tough for both teams.
