Okay, I am getting a little tired of being told how great Matt Forte is every time I hear about the Bears. He had a nice rookie year, but that is the only year of averaging over 70 per game rushing. They have spent the last three years trying to run their offense around him and he has managed to put up nice numbers. Not great, but nice. He is a nice player to have. I think we will stop hearing his name this season and I think we will hear talk about him wanting to leave soon.

Forte now has 119 yards rushing in three games. Starks (147) and Grant (157) both have more. Martz wants to throw all the time. He chased out the TEs and he will stop running the ball soon. This will especially be true once the Bears start falling behind like they have in the past two weeks.

Forte has been able to get his 22 catches and 287 yards receiving, but he has a single TD this year. Yesterday, nine rushes for 2 yards. Granted, the line is terrible, but he has never been as good as he was. Grant started off with the Packers with 956 yards in seven starts and then consecutive 1,200 yard seasons. Forte has never been that consistantly productive. Forte has only averaged over 4.0 yards/carry once (hanging at 3.4 right now).

All I'm saying is Forte is a nice player, but ESPN and Chicago both need to stop acting like he belongs in the Pro Bowl (like Minnesota and E.J. Henderson).

Forte to me is right around in the same category as Starks/Grant. None is a great back, but all are good backs. I think he'd do pretty darn good running behind a Packer O-Line and catching passes from Rodgers if he was in Green Bay. Unfortunately for him, he plays behind one of the worst O-Lines in the NFL, and has an inconsistent QB throwing to him.
