I've often wondered if I could master crutches (thank goodness I haven't had to find out). I think that contraption would land me in traction.

Could be worse but this is definitely not the kind of thing you want a first year coach dealing with. He’s looking at either pain or pain meds. Both of them can be a pretty significant distraction.

Friend of mine used exact same thing when he tore his Achilles. He recovered way faster than I ever would have thought.
Any word yet if he will be placed on injured reserve?
Ha Ha my only point being: Word is from observers he's a real hands on, on-the-field, mix-it-up and demonstrate it kind of coach. Which he's going to have to modify now right off the bat.
Which I'm sure he will, he just sure doesn't look happy in that stupid scooter.

A few years ago a young lady in our office tore her Achilles tendon playing volleyball. She used that "iwalk". It took her a long time to get the tendon stretched out again so it didn't hurt to walk. In May of 2017 when I broke my leg I used crutches. I think she had the easier time getting around. But she was a lot younger too.
As for MLF, lets hope he is the last injury this year. I want to see what healthy team can do.

Yes, I remember - about 44 seconds into it. Devine had 5 dogs according to the video and 2 of them were killed. If I were MLF I would send all my dogs to a trusted relative or friend away from GB for a while.

Been through these twice myself and pain/medication wasn't really a factor. Yeah it hurt some initially but after that is was more being uncomfortable than in pain. I don't recall taking anything stronger than ibuprofen after the first night. If swelling doesn't get out of control it's a matter of 6-8 weeks immobilized (shorter if you go surgical) followed by a shit ton of rehab.
I tore both my acl's.....once that happened, nothing went bad south of there that Cialis couldn't fix.
Maybe if he wore an eye patch............ Just sayin'

I used one. Preferred the knee scooter.
