When you draft in the top 5 six out of eight years, you're bound to find a player. And he turned that into a nailbiter.
I loved how they went to Millen when talking about how both of these SB teams were built through the draft.

No I would think Sherman would be the HC and Campen the OC/ASS head coach
Hey, this team made it to the Super Bowl despite all the obstacles in its way. So, that in it of itself speaks of high praise for the entire coaching staff and players.
Campen gets ripped on alot around here. It is nice to hear someone give him some credit for once. Along with Slocum too. Heck, I busted on MM a bunch for poor playcalling and bad game day strategy. But guess what? They're in the Super Bowl.

And by the end of this year the Lions have finally started to overcome all the great decisions that Matt Millen made. It only took three years after he finally got canned. I remember when he went back to commentating, on Detroit tv someone put a crawler on the bottom of the screen every time he spoke.

He must share the same agent as Theismann. That guy has more lives than three cats and he's ruined the Playbook show, imo. The NFL Network has made some terrible hires. I can't think anyone takes Millen seriously.
I think Millen was a great analyst before he got the GM job. Actually, since he was let go from Detroit, he has proivided analysis ffor CFB games and the NFL. He knows what he is talking about, in regards to skill and the nuances of the game.
There is no doubt that his time in Detroit was not good, but there is only so much you can do as a GM. Roy Williams, Mike Williams = Bust.... everyone thought they would be "game changers".....
