GOL,
That's exactly what Havel and Sydney were saying on the radio yesterday afternoon. That MM wouldn't just block somebody if they wanted to move on cuz who wants to work with someone day in and day out for the long hours that NFL football coaches do if they don't really want to be there. They speculated that McAdoo was told to hang around cuz Clements will probably be gone next year.
I believe all is well and fine with Whitt and McAdoo.
That would make sense. On his radio show yesterday, Rodgers strongly implied he'd prefer someone with playing experience become the new QB coach. They talked specifically about Gannon, and Rodgers said they had a great relationship, and thought Gannon would help as Rodgers moves toward the middle of his career.

He obviously said the right things about working with McAdoo if MM thought it was the best move, but sure didn't sound like he'll be making the conversion to QB coach.
I realize there's some interchangeability within these position coaches since its more about knowing each position's role within the offense, but it just seems like QB is the one spot that would really benefit from a coach that played the position. But I trust in Mike and know that Rodgers is now a machine beyond the point of benefiting from human coaching any way.
