Physicals at 6 a.m. this morn. Players going thru testing. Then, into administrative mtgs. Expectations, goals, etc.

Players had physicals this morning and now the team is going through orientation and meeting with NFL security. Football meets tonight.

Camp last year we didn't have the rhythm we did previous years coming out. Had injuries.

on camp schedule: Didn't have rhythm/timing coming out of camp we had in prior years.

"I have every confidence we'll do better of being healthier."

new schedule will "give us a chance to be a healthier team."

Theme every year. Not going to discuss it now. Goal never changes. Always the same.

"Get 'em up early," Get the heavy lifting done early. ...AM practice schedule will help us as team battle fatigue.

on injuries: "We have not hit the target on availability two of the last three years. It's definitely a point of emphasis."

We have not hit the target on availability the last two years. We've made some adjustments and you'll see it in camp practices.

"Trust me, we've looked at everything involved in our program. We've made some adjustments. We're doing everything we can to address it."

If the approach isn't fresh, I need to step aside. There's a challenge every single day. Lot of thought into the start of camp.

It's very fresh for me. I'm very excited today for the start of camp.

"Every season so unique. You're challenged every single day. Lot of thought goes into the start of camp

"Leadership isn't about giving speeches. It's how you act, how you behave ... and how you produce."

Aaron Rodgers' leadership has continued to grow. Puts time into it. ...Definition of true leader.

on @GregJennings, with a chuckle: "When you put on that purple, something happens to you. (Greg) was fun to coach."

We'll be very excited about playing the 49ers in the opener. This camp will be very competitive.

All about stacking success. Putting two practices back to back. Same w/coaching staff.

We clearly had a better off-season program than a year ago. We got down the approach and preparation. I like our approach heading into camp.

We told the rookies we're a draft and undraft develop team. You see the injuries. If you're young, you've got a chance to make this team.

Physicals are nearly done. (Won't say whether Sherrod or DuJuan Harris will start on PUP).

on run game: We need to run the ball better, that's the fact of the matter. ...About winning, quality of play.

pokes fun at himself for his quote at end of OTAs about running the ball better this year. "Big letters, that's adamant?"

"Running the football is a collective effort. … We need to be a better second-level run team."

It's a totally different era of training your football team. You had a lot more information back then because of so many padded practices.

Were hoping to go with four QBs. Fourth QB in today's camp environment tough. Want to grow that guy. ...Wish could have 5.

on Thompson thanking God every day that he's the #Packers coach: "He said that? Really? That's awesome."

Ted Thompson is the most consistent individual I've ever had opportunity to work with. Thankful for opportunity he gave me.

When you micro-manage and don't let people grow it's for the short term. We've built this for the long-term.

On Ted Thompson's praise at Wednesday's shareholders meeting:

That’s a good day. Ted is awesome. Ted Thompson is clearly the most consistent individual I’ve had the opportunity to work with. I’m very thankful for Ted Thompson and the program he’s given me. I think that speaks volumes about the confidence we have in one another. When you micromanage, it’s a short-term success formula. We’ve built this for the long term. We feel it’s very important for our fans we show up and have a very good football team every year.
