Don't remember the site but I read this morning that Bob McGinn had the most accurate first 100 drafted prediction (of major seers) for the second year in a row. He correctly predicted 85 of the 100 and 26 of the first 32 with 10 of those being correct to the team. Okay, so Luck and RGIII were gimmees.

Much better than mine.
Kudos for your acumen, Bob.

I think it's time for Bob. I don't know if management was forcing him to change his writing style to being decidedly contrarian in order to get more clicks, but that was most of what he was spewing out in the last few seasons.

I have no problem with "keeping it 100" as these kids today say, but nonstop Ted bashing where Bob was contridicting himself was getting pretty sad.

Best of luck in retirement Bob

I thought McGinn was excellent, but for whatever reason the Pack and those MJS reporters (not just McGinn) seemed to have a fallout a few years ago and sometimes I think his columns reflect that.

Outside of the MJS, his book about Super Bowls and delving into the deep history of each one was an excellent read.

I don't want the press to be on good terms with the team.  If I want rah rah bull**** I'll go to packers.com

I thought McGinns draft work was always pretty good. I thought his player grades following games was a good read.

McGinn got over his ski tips when he started going all editorial. Packers need to get bigger. Packers need to get faster. Packers need to get older. Packers need to get younger. He seemed to change his narrative every spring.

JS never had a shortage of Anti-Tedites and Bob never lost sight of that. The guy did spark conversation though with every smart and silly story. And that's pretty much the goal.

All good things come to an end eventually and Bad Bob will be sorely missed.  I too, often visited the JSOnline site only to look for and read his write-ups.  His style was point blank and blunt much of the time, positive blended with negative, hopefully optimistic and he kept us informed and grounded too.  I will greatly miss his Monday morning summaries and ratings reviews.

Good luck Bob!  Thanks for the memories too!
