Braun is a fantastic hitter, and has been a fantastic hitter this year.  Seeing him pull with power again is a whole different animal.  Not sure if it was the thumb, his oblique, or he is juicing again (probably juicing again), but with him hitting with power to left again having him Aram and Luc all in a row has to intimidate about any pitcher. 

Funny how with a little offense (or a lot) the pitching looks better.

I worry about Ramirez staying healthy but the guy can hit.  Would be good to get Scooter back.   Weeks makes me cringe

Like Khris Davis as well.  I'll admit saw him plenty of times in Appleton and wasn't sure if he was big league material but he's done a nice job

After being down 5-0 the CUBBIES came all the way back and beat the Cards 7-6.  Brewers can gain another game tonight.

I'd rather have Mark up with no outs than force the damn bunt issue (again) with Logan to have a guy on second with 1 out.

Hating Rickie Weeks is just fashionable at this point.  He's a shell of what he used to be, power is getting gone, but he's been adequate in his platoon (albeit way over paid).  He's gone after this year. 

 

 

My point is that similar to bunting with Schaefer with 1 out it's an anti clutch move to have Weeks in there trying to get a big hit in crunch time. 

Just a head scratching ninth inning for the Brewers to not take full advantage of the opportunity.

I'm more comfortable with Weeks at the plate than in the field, you also are not going to pinch hit for Weeks there (with Herrera?).  Weeks hasn't been bad with guys on this year, there is no reason to have anyone else at the plate than Rickie Weeks when Rickie Weeks spot in the order comes up in that situation.  Rickie actually contributed more this game offensively than Braun, Davis, Sequra and Maldy. 

 

Doesn't mean Rickie deserves more playing time (or to have any semblance of his job back when Scooter is healthy), but he belonged at the plate in that situation. 

 

 

If dougie/mark do nothing before deadline and the Crew do not make playoffs, they will pay for that mistake. No doubt it.

Tough economy, and the momentum of turnaround wearing off, they need to mature into an expectance .... Like thePackers
