He's not awful. Just young. His role as Antetokounmpo and Parker take over the primary scoring roles is to be a tough defensive player and a smart player with the ball. If he makes the leap that Knight with a full off-season and time to learn, he has a chance to be that much better than Knight was.

He will likely be a much better defensive player than Knight and probably a better distributor. The knock on him is that he's a terrible shooter.

In other words, he sounds like a poor man's version of the player Jason Kidd was.

With his size, he's a real matchup problem. This is how Hammond is constructing this team. Long at every position. You can't teach size, and the Bucks are assembling an awful lot of it. They now need time- and they're so young they're going to need a couple years. 20-25 years old, Jason Kidd as the coach, athletes up and down the lineup. A lot of people are saying the first leap will be next year. I think they're right...
How quickly we forget about Knight and his inconsistent play before he broke through this year.

Given the Bucks luck of extending guys after 1 big year it's probably smart they didn't offer a new contract anyway

This.  After all the extensions that have blown up in their faces, I have no problem with this.

MCW is still young and just experienced the shock of being traded after a ROY season (although it doesn't take as much to look good on the Sixers).  He'll be fine, as long as he learns to cut down on the turnovers.  As mentioned above, he won't have to be the primary scorer in the future.  Play has improved the last few games, let's see what he does down the stretch and into the playoffs.
