The Titans are parting ways with their starting right tackle.

Tennessee has waived/injured Michael Oher, the club said Thursday.

The 28-year-old Oher started all 11 games in which he played for Tennessee in 2014 before landing on injured reserve with a toe injury. He reportedly signed a four-year, $20 million contract in March.

Oher graded out 75th of 84 qualifying tackles in 2014, per Pro Football Focus, which rates player performance.

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, nearly 85 percent of Oher’s $4 million salary would have been guaranteed for 2015 if he were to have remained on the Titans’ roster by Friday.

A first-round pick in 2009, Oher played his first five NFL seasons with Baltimore, starting and playing every game for the club in that span. His upbringing was depicted in a book (“The Blind Side)

Right tackle looks to be one of the Titans’ needs entering the offseason. Byron Stingily, who filled in for Oher at season’s end, is slated to be an unrestricted free agent.

Did injuries do him in? I thought at one time he was a decent RT. I'd still MUCH rather have Bulaga but I wonder if GB would give him a look. He's 28.

Now that I think about it, this is perhaps more worrisome for GB. Because the Titans are precisely the kind of team that would throw gobs of money at Bulaga.

And we know TT don't do bidding wars.

did a guy get cut from a bad team because he was bad enough in a group of below average players, or does the bad team evaluate and coach talent so badly that he might be of use on a good team (the viking effect).

That was my first thought.  More a threat to losing Bulaga than bringing Oher in.

I'm going with topless instead of coaching, but I'm on board.

Well she do it naked? That was an amazing storey,  BTW,but it oversold Oher in a big way.

Royalties ****ed up Oher's career. Royalties **** up everyones career. You can't shake the thought of the money faucet. Danny Partridge. Last remaing member of the Bee Gees. There's a reason nothing has been released by Bee Gee. Royalties.
