quote:

Vick has a dog!

You might have heard he has a history with such animals. Considering Vick has rehabbed, repented and done everything to redeem himself, it shouldn't be a big deal.

It is, of course.

Vick acknowledged as much by deleting the photo, then re-tweeting it with no Milk-Bones in sight.

At first, he refused to answer if his family had a new, four-legged addition. He realized the futility Thursday and owned up in a statement.

"I understand the strong emotions by some people about our family's decision to care for a pet. As a father, it is important to make sure my children develop a healthy relationship with animals."

In other words, "we lovin."

The Humane Society declined comment. PETA has yet to weigh in, though you can be sure it thinks Vick should still be Leavenworth, preferably sharing a cell with a 300-pound animal lover. The longstanding position on that organization's website is:

"Just as convicted pedophiles aren't allowed free access to children, anyone who is responsible for hanging, electrocuting and shooting dogs and who has caused them to suffer in other unimaginable ways should never be allowed within 50 feet of a dog."

We lovin?
