The Arena Football League's Chicago Rush have extended him an offer for the 2012 season with team GM Gene Nudo saying it is "an ideal time to approach the future Hall of Famer."
Wherever T.O. plays next, he sounds willing to keep his sometimes prickly personality under wraps even if he won't filter his comments.
He discussed some of his career missteps on NFL Network Tuesday night and admitted he would change some things regarding his past behavior.
"I've made some mistakes along the way. There's been a growing process for myself, and sometimes it takes a little bit longer than others. For myself, you know, I think with the last two teams that I've been on, I've been fairly quiet. But no matter what, when it comes to me, they can never dispute what I do on the football field. But it always comes back to what happened in Philly or what happened in San Fran, what happened in Dallas. Other than that, I can only go by what I've done the last two years -- you haven't heard a peep from me. I've gone out, and I've played football," Owens said on NFL Total Access on Tuesday night. "I go in there, and I competed, and I worked, and I end up in the starting rotation; I did it in Buffalo, I did it in Cincinnati."
