Hard to win when your offense scores 2 runs in 18 innings. I get that the Phillies are arguably the best team in baseball right now, but the Brewers came in having scored the second most runs in baseball.

Tomorrow is a must win, not so much for the standings, but so these guys prove to themselves they can beat this team.

Starting out 1 for 13 in Game 3. Ashby has looked good so far, but the Brewers are now 13 for 77 in the series with 2 extra base hits.

Yelich and Hoskins are 4 for 15. The rest of the team is 9 for 62.

Well this series was definitely a measuring stick.  Young guns in the lineup have some growing to do yet.

I'm not looking forward to July and what they do with Adames.   Word is that the Brewers tried extending him over the winter but they couldn't agree on terms.   So if he's pricing himself out of our small market team, it leaves two options.  1- play out the season and he walks for nothing.   2- trade him and the clubhouse implodes ala the Hader trade.

Lost the must win game, seasons over.

I believe the front office would give Adames a Qualifying Offer which he would most likely not accept.  Then if he signed with another team, the Brewers would get a comp pick, either after Round 1 or after Competitive Round Balance B (before the third round).

Extra picks are a big deal, but especially for small market teams.

Robert Gasser to 15 IL with a flexor strain. Ashby and Meyers recalled.  Jason Junk also sent back to AAA.    What next????

Thanks for that - I wasn't sure how that would all work out if Adames just plays out the season.  Good to know there would be something they'd get back anyway.

Brandon Woodruff, Robert Gasser, DL Hall, and Wade Miley could be a very good rotation along with Peralta after they red-shirt this year and Devin Williams should be well rested to close games as well.

If Yelich would have to go back on the IL for any reason with the other players currently on it, the Brewers would be in a position where they'd have 51 million of payroll on the active roster and 51 million on the IL.

4 starting pitchers and 3 relief pitchers on the IL before the season is even half over has to be approaching some type of record.
