Tyler Wahl with the 1st points in the game.
Both teams throwing up bricks. 2-2 with 6 minutes gone.
5-0 run for the Badgers has Minnesota calling for a time out. 7-2, now.
No point in burdening this game with any scoring
Gophers tie it up and then take the lead...
Beautiful pass by Hepburn to Gilmore!
Crowl with his 2nd foul in about a minute.
Bad pass by Essegian causes a turnover and a foul by Klesmit. Not good.
Hepburn drains another 3, to retake the lead.
Bucky by 6, at the half. 26-32.
Wahl out, for the rest of the game, with an ankle injury.
Ola Joseph gets a T for flopping.
I hate the technical for flopping. play on says I
47-54 at a TV time out 10:58 left in this game.
Sloppy rebounding by Bucky brings the Gophers within 3
Klesmit is playing some solid Defense, tonight.
11-0 Gopher run ends with a Davis 3. Bucky up by 4.
obviously having Wahl out hurts as you can see by the offensive rebounds the Goofs are getting, but Chucky can simply not leave the floor for Bucky
I always said Ethan Happ was potentially the best #2 that had to be a #1, but if Conner Essegian had been on an Ethan Happ team, it may have been magic.
Chucky Hepburn is becoming Brian Kelley with an outside shot
Bucky making it interesting. Hepburn trying to get up court loses the ball then gets tied up. Minnesota ball. Down to a 3 point lead for Bucky.
Hepburn steals the ball and Bucky gets the win. 63-60! 3-0 in Big Ten play. Wonder if Bucky moves up in the rankings,a bit, since #1 Purdue lost to Rutgers, yesterday.
Chucky with the play of the game with that late steal.
Not sure Bucky is really a top 20 team, but they are interesting
Nice win. Hepburn blows it and saves it.
Also not sure if this was mentioned but Patrick McCaffery is taking a leave of absence from Iowa BB to get himself straighten out mentally. Not sure what that really means, but you have to wish the kid well.

Their shooting has been pretty cold, especially early in the game, tonight. I wonder if they would have beaten a stronger team, than the Gophers, last night. I did think they really played well, off the bench, after Wahl went out, in the 1st half. Klesmit was the star on Defense, last night. He was tough against the Gophers' players, he was up against.
They need to put two halves together. They stay close in the firsthand, pull away in the second. There was no reason they were not putting the gophers away instead of the nail biter it ended up being
Watched the last 10. Sloppy assed ball handling and no blocking out on reboundsβ¦didnβt look remotely like a top 20 team. Is Wahl that big an impact?
