to his credit, he is owning he said terrible things, it was terrible to do and he is apologetic.  That's not really the American way right now, so good for him for owning his words.  He's going to be under a lot of (justifiable) scrutiny now, lets she what kind of man he's become, because he was a dumb**** extraordinaire at 17.

It’s interesting that the story came out now given people knew about the tweets for 5+ years.   Maybe it’s a grand conspiracy by the Cubs to try to throw shade on or try get into his head.

I think what he said was reprehensible, but good for him owning it.  I just hope this doesn’t derail his career.

Yet another reason why social media is the root of all evil.

I think Jesus's words carry some weight

I put more faith in what his teammates have to say about him than some β€œgotcha” moment that occurred years ago on social media.

Honestly if I were a sports agent or GM I wouldn’t be worried about player behavior related to gambling or drinking or scrip clubs or infidelity.  My number #1 concern would be how to manage the social media issues.

The more stories I see about the Hader situation, the more I wonder if he will be able to bounce back from this. I cannot imagine the reception he will get on the road. It likely could make Braun's (after returning from his suspension) sound like Seals and Crofts compared to Hader's being Metallica.

The only thing that has been positive is the team's reaction. Everyone is holding him 100% accountable and being completely honest that this will a long road ahead.

I just can't believe how my perception of this season has changed in 11 days.
