Kuhn has a knee sprain. Will not play in the Pro Bowl. Better then they thought injury wise. Will not need surgery.

Jennings has sprained ribs. He IS expected to play in the Pro Bowl.

All other players checked out (per procedure). No other players injured/hurt other then those who went on IR.

Productivity in tackling "biggest disappoints" in speaking with Capers.

Time off/bye type week not an excuse for how they played.

Packers will improve in 2012, with the new draft class, with the coaches, and we will be adding another "significant" draft class.

We will always try to create more competition at all positions.

MM: "I know I don't like it. I will tell you that" regarding the new CBA OTA programs and off season schedule.

MM: "Start to finish we did not tackle well. It's not acceptable." Talked with Dom today about it.

MM: Padded practices are important but will not blame poor tackling on new CBA rules regarding this.

MM: Not a big believer in calling other teams or consulting with to find solutions on tackling. Have to find answer within. Asked himself why we didn't hang onto the ball. Uncharacteristic of his team. It's about fundementals.

MM: We didnt play to our identity. States again bye week is no excuse nor time off for players.

MM: You put yourself in a position to play well in the playoffs. That we did. But did not do the most important thing after (win).

MM: On JerMike, "didnt feel great about his season." He needs an OTA program. He's young. He will will an outstanding football player for us"

MM: Sounds optimistic on Collins and his medical reports thus far but will find out in March

MM: The most accountable football team I've ever been a part of from top to bottom.

overall the team did improve. Offense was much better, ST was greatly improved and our Defense lost a few key starters that caused it to regress.

Good thing is Offense and STs should be just as good next year. Defense can only improve.

The team was undone by playing their worst game at the most important time. that is the difference between this year and last year.

Their were some stinkers last year as well.
Some repeats from p-boi... what i've captured so far:

Kuhn had a knee sprain & will not play in Pro Bowl. better than thought after game.....Jennings will play in the Pro Bowl

tackling and big plays big disappointment on defense

met will capers today for staff review. will do same with slocum tomorrow, and philbin on friday

expects team will improve. will improve with new draft class

does not like new off-season rules, couldn't specify as he doesn't have it memorized. takes away from guys like graham harrell

re: vet FAs... fun for everyone to play GM

fundamentals on defense not good enough

fundamentals mentioned about 10x now

talked about to's in the game sunday - uncharacteristic of this team
Interesting statement on JerMichael. Sounds like he's going nowhere. "Has a lot of growth in front of him." Needs to establish better relationship with "the guy who's throwing to you". " No one is more into the practices then JerMicheal. Has tremendous work ethic." Considers him a Pro Bowl TE.
One thing I've always liked about MM is his accountability. It obviously starts at the top with TT, MM and Rodgers. No excuses, no arguments, no whining from this organization. The attitude of "it's on us and it's on us to fix it" is what makes this team so great right now.
I get the bad tackling is not going to help, but not a lot of teams seem to tackle well in this era of the NFL. The lack of a pass-rush seems far more of a problem than the tackling.

I guess that's why I watch the games from a recliner and not the sideline.
I have always hated the "bump" type tackle. It's supposed to knock them down?? Ah, NOT!! Just wrap them up and bring them down, and what happened to the gang type tackle....SF did that so well against the Saints. Mad
There are so many defensive deficiencies that MM only had time to focus on the tackling and I wouldn't read too much into it. Capers and Greene have both indicated that a lack of pressure was a problem.

I thought he didn't fit with the kind of players the Packers want?
