These Browns can't be as bad as they looked last week. Right?

What's up with the Jets black unis?
That was a hell of a grab by OBJ.
I used to root for the Browns whenever I could.
Always being an underdog, the factory of sadness, blah, blah, blah....
But with the arrival of Mayfield and his attitude, that's certainly changed.
They can go back to their 0-16 seasons, as far as I'm concerned.

Exactly.....when he walked across the draft stage making the βIβm in the money baby poseβ is when I started disliking him immediately. Ugh......hope he loses EVERY game.

You feel for the fans, but their owner is also a convicted criminal (Flying J, which he owns, had to pay a 90 million dollar fine for fraud).
Apologies for my lack of game thread starting...
Pre-retirement, I was generally in a hotel (Holiday Inn Express, natch) with nothing to do but kill time until the 8:20 EST Monday, Thursday starts.
Now? Game time is 6:20 (Mountain)...I'm barely done with dinner, and ignoring Mrs. Kiel after ignoring her for 16 hours of weekend football is not a good move if I want to continue to live on her dime.
The good news is she's in Florida for a month, so perhaps I'll dust off the pith-machine this Thursday for the sad-sack Jag game ....
...oh, and Baker Mayfield is Johnny Manzell in-waiting.
Browns still with stupid penalties. They had a crap load of them last week.
No excuses B K. Either get the thread started or get out.

Jets with a 4th and 29.
Ty Montgomery looking as useful as always at RB.

Ugh......Jets stink.
Montgomery with a rush for no gain.
Siemian injured.
OMG that injury to the Jets QB. Thank God I wasn't eating at the moment. Holy crap was that awful.
Man, second late hit by Garett...looks like a bad injury to Simian
Trevor Siemian with what looks like a gruesome leg injury. Garrett got flagged for roughing, but didn't appear to be a dirty hit.
Is Garrett a dirty player?
How can you walk after that? That's unbelievable.
You can't put your full body weight like that anymore. Just ask CMIII.
I am stunned Trevor was able to walk off the field. It looked like his ankle bent behind his foot. Jeebus,
Ficken hits a FG!
Nice kick by the former Packer.
Ficken A, dude!

I walked home from soccer practice with a torn acl...sometimes adrenalin makes you think things aren't that bad.
The Jets Dolphins matchups are gonna be fucking lit.

I see what you did there.

I feel it fitting that this game and this post is the first post that allows that word in all its glory.

Whatever team goes over 100 yards total offense first wins.
What the record for punts in a game? That has to be in play.

You were a soccer player...donβt you mean you skipped home after practice.
its just a joke

George Carlin had a short, but excellent, bit about that particular word.
What a proud word and name it would make ( boldly proclaiming ) I AM F**K! F**K OF THE MOUNTAIN!!

Only after I picked up my brother from football practice.
Steelers get Minkah Fitzpatrick.
....As noted in the FA thread.

Usually you bet the "Over" in those matchups. In past years anyway.
This ain't Ronnie Lott's NFL anymore.
Itβs crazy just how bad the Dolphins are and the Jets are trending in that direction as well.
No wonder Brady and the Patriots have won like 55 division titles in a row. With Brady as QB heβs 45-17 against those two teams. Or heβs winning at about a 73% clip. Add in the Bills and heβs 71-20 against division rivals. That almost 80%.

Who's been the best QB in the division other than Brady during his 18 year run? Vinny Testaverde was OK, but even that was over 15 years ago. The answer might be Drew Bledsoe after the Patriots traded him to the Bills to clear the way for Brady. Otherwise, maybe Favre's year when he was sending texting pictures to the female staff members on the Jets.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyrod Taylor, EJ Manuel, JP Losman, Trent Edwards, and now Josh Allen for the Bills (among others).
The Dolphins have had Jay Fielder, Joey Harrington, Randall Cunningham, Chad Henne, Ryan Tannehill, Jay Cutler, Gus Frerotte, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and others.
The Jets have had Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick (he shows up again), Josh McCown, Brett Favre, Chad Pennington, Brooks Bollinger, and Kellen Clemens.
It's not just that the QBs haven't been very good. It's the amount of draft picks, free agent money, and trades that those teams have made trying to find a decent QB. The fact that the Packers haven't had to worry about trying to find a starting QB since 1993 (and using only one first round pick since then on QB) makes it that much more frustrating that they only have 2 titles in those 26 years.

You might bet the over just on the possible pick sixes that might happen.
One of the best stats of the New England/Miami game was that the Dolphins had 142 yards passing which the Patriots almost matched on interception return yards (128). And it could have been about 218 if Collins would have bothered to try to return the interception on the last play of the game.
The Dolphins also have run 27 times for 63 yards this season and are on pace to throw 48 interceptions.
Trevor Seimeins tore multiple ligaments in his ankle. Out for the year and will need surgery. As bad as that is, the initial injury looked even worse. Like Alex Smith worse.
