Too bad for Boyle.
I hoped he would at least be a competent QB, but he has really flopped.

Tim Boyle played parts of 3 years of D1 football at UConn and had 1 TD and 13 interceptions. He went to a lower level of football at Eastern Kentucky and 11 TDs and 13 interceptions.

Somehow, he parlayed that into hanging around six years on an NFL roster. He's had 4 TDs and 11 interceptions in the NFL.

Mainly because Aaron Rodgers likes him, he's made 7.6 million dollars.

It was no different with Doug Pedersen backing up Favre. Favre and Rodgers like those backups because

  1. They are no threat to their starting job
  2. They follow orders like good little foot soldiers
  3. They help Favre/Rodgers prepare for the game

It's pretty simple to see.

Favre played good in 2006 and really good in 2007....Think having Rodgers on the team had something to do with that?? I guarantee it did

Rodgers won 2 MVP's after the Packers drafted Love. Think having Love on the team had something to do with that? I guarantee it did

He also has a howitzer strapped to the right side of his body. That arm keeps suckering NFL coaches into giving him a chance.

Brilliant post.

The Jets are a fucking disaster and for the 1,000th time the Hard Knocks jinx hits hard.

If Hackett wasn’t a Rodgers lackey he would have been fired weeks ago.  Meathead Saleh will be fired and honestly Joe Douglas should as well.

I laugh at the superior intellect - Rodgers that is.  He single handedly wrecked them.  The Allan Lazard deal alone should strip any front office person their career.

I’ll pass on Lazard or Cobb for that matter.  For better or worse, we need these younger guys to get reps.   Reed and Wicks have shown a lot of promise and Doubs is already a decent starting WR.  If Watson can be a little more consistent I think they will be fine at WR.  Especially if a guy like Heath can build off what he did this week.

Would I love to have another WR?  Sure.  If it’s Marvin Harrison Jr or one of the top draft guys.

If this team is going to add a vet I’d much rather it be an OL or DL or safety.

There are only 3 games today that could have an immediate impact on the Packers standing.

NO (5-5) @ ATL (4-6)
I'll root for the Saints to win since that would put them only 1 game ahead of us, and we own the H2H against them. A Falcons win ties us in overall record, but they own the H2H against the Pack.

TB (4-6) vs IND (5-5)
Going for the Colts 'cause I hate the Bucs.
Seriously, there's not a lot of impact either way, but a Bucs loss keeps them a game behind us, and we play them in a few weeks.
Also, out of the 3 teams in the NFCS that are going to fight over their division, 2 of them will lose out on the playoffs completely.

LAR (4-6) @ AZ (2-9)
Go Cards!
Of course, they aren't a danger to anybody, and the Rams likely aren't as well, but I would just as soon keep them a game behind the Packers. We also own the H2H against them, FWIW.

Chicago/Vikes play Monday night, but I'll save my comments for that thread.

Check out Steelers’ Diontae Johnson here. He should be cut at halftime. This is ridiculous.
