Sixers announced Embiid tore his meniscus. No timetable for return given. They are probably now toast for this year.

That leaves the Celtics as even more of a clear favorite. Knicks might be the second best team. Bucks third.

As soon as I post that the Embiid being out makes the Celtics a clear cut favorite in the East, they play the Lakers.

The Lakers are sitting Lebron and AD, and Jerrod Vanderbilt gets hurt during the game. The Celtics are at full strength, at home, lost tonight to the LeBron/AD-less Lakers.

I think the Bucks are in a good spot.  Let everyone keep thinking they aren’t championship worthy.

Meanwhile, Philly is still Philly meaning Embiid is hurt for the 450th time in his career, and Boston gets blown out at home for the second time in a week by a team from LA.

This is what Boston will do vs. Dame. That's why Lopez, Malik and Kha$h money need to make their wide open shots, especially when Giannis drives to the bucket.

It's also why the Bucks had to move on from Holiday. He, like Eric Bledsoe before him, couldn't hit those wide open shots under playoff pressure.

Boston crushed the Warriors today 140-88

Guess they felt like playing since the Warriors beat them earlier.

The way the media guys are talking, they might as well just cancel the Eastern Conference playoffs and let the Celtics play in the Finals.

Might be a good thing to go into a Celtics series (if the Bucks get that far) as a massive underdog. The pressure is mostly going to be on the Celtics.

It's not often you are a massive underdog if both teams are fully healthy when

1. You have the best player in the series

2. You have 2 of the 3 best players in the series (Giannis, Tatum/Dame)

3. You have a deeper bench

4. You have a coach who has won an NBA title and is 9th all-time in NBA wins against a team with a 2nd year head coach

Cavs were missing Donavan Mitchell, Mobley, and Strus.

Celtics were full strength and at full rest (with their last game against the Warriors not even playing their starters more than 20 minutes).

Meaningless March game, but it may stop all the talk about how the 2023-24 Celtics are nearly as good as the Jordan/Pippen Bulls or the Curry/Klay/Durant Warriors.

Celtics (or NBA) Best team of all time.....blows a 17 point lead to start the 4th quarter.

Maybe it's just me but I'm more impressed with Cleveland and Indiana.
