I did not realize Luke Murray was an assistant coach with UConn. Last time I remember seeing him was when The Badgers beat Xavier on Bronson Koenig's buzzer beater in the Tournament, a few years back.

It's a sign of how much college basketball has changed when UConn goes back to back and it's not clear whether they'll have a single player that ever becomes an all-star at the NBA level that played over those two years.

Maybe Clingan can do it if he develops a 3 point shot (and he looks like he has decent form), but he's probably the best shot.

Castle is a lottery pick in mock drafts as well, but the fact he can't shoot is an issue. He's basically Andre Jackson Jr. (UConn's best player last year) with a little more upside.

They have 3 other guys that project as second round picks.

Interestingly, this mock draft has the Bucks taking Edey. Talk about a dominant college player that has no prayer in the NBA. He's probably as good as Yao Ming was, but Yao Ming couldn't play in today's NBA either.

That's perfect for when they trade Giannis to OKC 😃👍🏼

Yes. I can picture it right now. Giannis to OKC for Chet Holmgren, Josh Giddey, and about 10 first round picks that will net a bunch of Marjon Beauchamp types when you pick after the 20th pick each year. Lillard to the Heat for Tyler Herro and a couple of picks. Middleton to another contender in a salary dump and picks.

Then draft Edey this year.

Next year, they could go with the ultra-big, Uber-athletic rotation of Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton, Josh Edey, Chet Holmgren, Josh Giddey, Herro, and Gallinari.

I'm picturing Edey ripping down a defensive board and going coast-to-coast for a Euro-Step dunk in 3 dribbles.

UConn lost five of its top eight scorers from that team. And perhaps the most compelling argument for the singular dominance of this run is that the teams UConn did it with were completely different, indicative of the distinctly different era they achieved it in.
