Imagine if Lopez had been playing like this last year in the playoffs?   He’s having a fantastic year.

I am starting to get a little worried about Middleton.  In the 16 games he’s played going back to mid January he’s only had 5 games where he’s shoe the 3 pretty well.  Now, his midrange game has been solid but they need him to regain his mojo from 3.

Just from the eyeball test, he seems to be a better playmaker than previous years. He is seeing the floor better and his assists per 36 minutes are easily at a career high. His 2 point shooting is right at his career average in terms of percentage.

Obviously, his three point shooting is way down (29% vs. 39% career). It's not a small sample size either. The bigger problem is that he's not close to where he was on the defensive end yet, and it's not clear he's going to get there. I think there's definitely some remaining weakness in his leg strength. Harden just abused him and Harden has lost about 2 steps from his peak. Middleton has to be able to offer some resistance against Tatum, Brown, Tobias Harris, and Harden to be playable in crunch time. And Middleton has to play on offense in crunch time against good teams.
