Construction crews this week began installing video panels on the north end zone board and have about three weeks of work remaining. Work on the south end zone board will follow. Both are scheduled to be operational for the Green Bay Packers shareholders’ meeting on July 24.

The boards will be high definition. Each main screen is 48 feet high and 108 feet wide (5,222 square feet) made up of 104 modules of 4,378 individual lighting units. Each board will have two 31 feet high and 18 feet wide auxiliary screens on their sides made up of 15 modules and 540 individual units.

The thought of an official reviwing a play on a tiny monitor while everyone else watches on a 110 foot wide 1080p HD display is pretty funny though.

This drives me nuts. Everyone at home has seen the replay enough to make an accurate judgment, hit the can and grab a fresh beer before the referee is even under the hood. Give the call to a guy in a booth with an HD screen watching in real time.

This makes way too much sense. It'll never happen. And my wife is tired of me suggesting it after every instant replay.

Can't imagine the size of the drape you'll have to put your head under to watch it.

All right, Who's your gag writer? You always have excellent one-line zingers
Indeed and they'll pass it on to the ticket buyers as well in the form of convenience charges, shipping charges, transfer charges and PSL surcharges

It just seems like the NFL/Packers are double and triple dipping the fans...

They had a special tax, they had a stock sale, they raised prices on tickets & merchandise now they are hitting the PSL trough as well

Next up will be PCL's ( personal cupholder license) , PUL's ( personal urinal license) and PPL's (personal parking licenses)

Just keep milking that cow...

Pretty much.

I was told that the Premium Prime Deluxe Exclusive Invitation-Only Club Seat owners have a Personal Restroom Attendette that actually holds it and shakes it off as needed.

That's the history behind this exchange:

Blue collar Bob: "Hey Jim, are you guys doing ?"

Blue collar Jim "Well Bob, we're holding our own"

No one is forced to buy stock, buy merchandise, buy tickets etc. It is a personal choice. A choice I for one make willingly. The 1/2 percent sales tax isn't voluntary but you take the Packers out of Green Bay and the economy goes to ****. Besides 1/2 percent is going to break your budget?

I tend to agree with this line of thought for sports. Especially as an alternative to hosing taxpayers. Interesting point that GB might be the one place you can make an exception given the value of the stadium to the local economy, but even then it was a minimal tax.

Ticket prices are a sticky wicket too, because the team could probably charge $250 a pop on average and still sell out. No one is happy with the steady increases, but face is still well below market value. I can't even blame the teams if they're in cahoots with the secondary sellers.
Don't mind me, I'm just another grumpy old guy yelling at clouds

I had just got done checking ticket prices at packers.com when I saw the notes on the PSL pricing increases.

I'll get over it, but it may involve some additional whining along the way

PS - most of the tickets in the bowl are already $ 250 and up in the secondary market, so they're already there
I'm right on the edge price-wise with my season tickets as it stands at almost $100 a game. I mean, I won't even allow myself to plunk down $50 for a ticket to go see live music that I really like anymore - $35 is about tops. Have a hard time looking in the mirror at myself when I think about paying almost $100 to go see a frickin' football game. And it used to be that my friends would be beating down my door when the schedule came out asking if they could go to this game or that game with me. Now it's practically an imposition to ask them, and I don't even bother asking some of the guys anymore cuz I know they ain't gonna go for it at $100. I love going to Lambeau - got it down to a science. Love all the friends I've made in the lot over time and tailgating like a madman with them. But if tickets keep going up it won't be long till this work-a-day Joe is selling them off, too. There are a lot of familiar faces missing from the old neighborhood (my section) since I've been sitting there and I understand why. I hate the idea of joining them on the TV sidelines but, unlike the NFL, I don't have an unlimited pot of gold.
I've got a conscience. We just bought the "premium premiere deluxe coat and tails" inside club seats (after your terrific advice). We can only go to the 1st pre-season game against the Brownies otherwise the boys have school. $244 for 4 seats 9 games= $8784. Row 2, section 694 and first crack at playoff tickets (should be 2 games). The ticket office said the lower the row, the better the seat.

Anybody know of a family of 4 or 4 guys or gals, let me know. My risk is somebody raises cain in the mint julep crowd and they confiscate my tickets and I lose the $4000 security deposit. The prices at stubhub or ticketmaster are much higher and really, there's not a lot available.

The nice thing is there's a lot of home games real late in the season where a chill might be in the air.
