The professor ran a quick "sticks/holes(realistic chances) equation and never really tried very hard to get off the island. Tom Hanks made a raft out of 11 trees and the side of an outhouse. A freakin' rocket landed on the professors island and that thing disappeared. The professor wanted zero part of society.
Once the professor discovered a weird wheel in a cavern under his hut he was able to leave the island whenever he wanted to. When he would turn the wheel he was transported to some desert in some god forsaken middle east country. He would then hitch a ride back to the island with some guy named Desmond who had a sailboat.
Those lost deleted scenes from Gilligan's Island paint a whole different/darker picture.
If the Packers D is looking to improve their interception record, this could be the game. You know Eli's going toss a least a couple up for grabs. Beyond that it'll be tough sledding playing them at home, record aside. Looking forward to seeing some more Tolzien to Bostick.
Well, the problem is that Eli tends to show up to play when its the Packers, at least during the last several meetings. I too think this will be a tough one to win, if the D continues their poor play.
EDS practicing today too. They have no shot with the line they had sunday so at least that's good news.
Richardson and Worthy practing too. I am slightly shocked they let Richardson back on the field. Sure would be nice if he stayed healthy and emerged as a S option.

EDS is the glue that holds it all together on the OL and the possibility of his playing is definitely good news. After what I've seen the previous two weeks I'm more concerned about the defense than the offense. Time for them to get their act together and play a good game.
Props to Lang for playing well at C, including a bunch of perfect shotgun snaps, after having almost no practice at all last week because of his concussion, let alone any practice reps at C.

Was just waiting for a fumbled snap or bad shotgun toss the way that game was going.
Funny how EDS was thought by many to be the weakest link on the line and now it seems that he is indespensible.
He may not be the best center in the league or even in the top half but there is something to say about being steady and working together as a unit. Is he the glue that binds? I'm not sure about that but he was playing better and the line IMO was better as a whole with him.
anything that keep Newhouse off the field is a positive.
Newhouse's first play last week was a sweep type run to his side - he blocked no one.
I expect Barclay will start. If he can't finish I think there's a great chance we see Sherrod for the first time in 23 months at RT.

Last week McCarthy said Sherrod needs lots of padded work to get ready for a game. Yesterday McCarthy said they are maximizing Sherrod's time in pads. Doing everything they can to get him ready if needed.

The current injuries to Matthews, Barclay, EDS, and others are concerning, but the one that could be the most critical in Jolly.
CJ Wilson should have fresh legs and would be able to spell Jolly if need be.

It's turning into a lost season for Hayward and CMIII has missed time which probably explains why they aren't getting as many turnovers. Those two guys alone make a big difference in that area.
As for the Giants, I would agree that this is a "must win" if the Packers want to stay in the playoff hunt. Assuming the Packers D can step up I think they have a good chance to win because the Giants are not a good football team. They've won 3 in a row but when you look at who they've played it's pretty obvious to me that against the better teams they've been awful and while the Packers don't have Rodgers I think they are still better than the Giants.
The one thing I have noticed about the NYG is their special teams have been terrible this year. Hyde could be in for a big day.
Two weeks back Rodgers goes down on the 1st series and Wallace comes in, doesn't completely suck but also doesn't really look like he should be on the field. After a week of 1st team reps and focused preparation he comes out and goes 5 for 5 on the first drive â then somehow hurts his groin. Then Tolzien comes in, looks better than many thought and actually looked like he belonged. After a week of 1st team reps and focused preparation I expect him to play significantly better than last week.
