NFC Championship Game Time

Along that same lines was talking to a new employee from Chicago about a potential GB vs. Chicago championship game. His response was that it would never happen. The Bears are already in Dallas to listen to this guy talk.

Games are always on Sunday. Championship Sunday (my favorite football day of the year)

I believe the first game should be 1:00 or 1:30 PM EST. (12:00 or 12:30 PM LFT)

That Packer/Giant game didn't kick off until around 6:00 PM central if I remember right.

AFC 6:30pm EST - CBS

If the game is in Chicago, the weather conditions may be a bit more favorable with the early kickoff.

About 8-10 years ago, they moved the Championship games into 'Prime Time' on Championship Sunday. I think it switches conferencs every year, on who gets the "late game". I guess last year, the Saints were the "late" game, and the Colts were the earlier game.

Like Russ said - the easy way to remember, for future reference - they alternate every year who is early and who is late.

I believe the Packers have a game to win on Saturday that starts at 7:00 or whenever the commercials get over so they can kickoff.

People who've yet to make your acquaintance have no idea just how important that is.

The late kickoff times are great on the west coast. Back in central time though having to wait that long was maddening for me though.

I know they alternate but it's funny all the AFC teams are Eastern Time Zone. Gonna be cold at kick-off someplace in an AFC city.

normally, I would agree...but, sometimes as the night draws near...the winds die down....so, even though a night game in Chicago might be colder than an earlier start time...the winds would be less of a factor...

I think with AR, the less wind the better....
