Sadly. There's a lot of truth to this when the receivers don't beat anybody the first progression. Every big passing play (a rarity this season) is on a broken pocket or a zone defense behind a soft pass rush.
James Jones from 2012 would have scored on that pass down the middle. He's way slower now and still faster than Adams.

IMO, the receivers (most often, not always) don't beat that immediate coverage because of the confident press and jump the DBs get knowing the routes and there will be no up after that. It's bad O coordination, IMO
