This will give teams something to do during a season with no games.
MM's assistants should just randomly apply to OC/DC positions just to see his reaction. He was notorious for blocking interviews while in GB, more so then other HC's apparently.

MM was seemingly doing other teams a favor with those blocks. Hindsight is 20/20, but it's clear that the guys who were being pursued that he blocked (Moss, Perry, MacAdoo, Philbin, Clements, Bennett, Whitt, etc.) just weren't ready for promotions. All of them failed when given promotions (in GB or elsewhere) or failed their position groups.

You mean when none of them get hired? That MacAdoo and Philbin hiring sure panned out.

Probably still could honestly, make him assistant HC of offense or something. I'm not sure his brother wants to though. He's in a prime position to benefit from the Shannahan tree, if SF has another strong season he's going to be up for HC jobs next year.
