Is anyone surprised someone misses the point of debating between two guy means you need someone to do a write up for, you know, two guys? Clayton started out as a Pittsburgh guy then went to the Pacific NW in the 80s. Somebody had to do the Brady write-up, and Clayton got assigned just like Ashley Fox got picked to do Rodgers.

Sorry, didn't mean to touch your sensitive spot.
Nice try Clayton.

Rodgers has better stats this year....TDs, Interceptions, QB rating, and completion percentage. Brady has played one less game...maybe he'll throw four more TDs next week to catch up with Rodgers, but he certainly won't throw -5 more interceptions. He'll probably throw at least one more.

Brady does have three SBs to Rodgers one, but he hasn't won a playoff game since '97. Meanwhile the number two QB in the league, only because Manning is injured, is the reigning SB MVP.

I really like how Clayton knocks Rodgers for being surrounded by better talent. Wes Welker has caught more passes over the last five years than any other receiver in the NFL, but he doesn't count because he was undrafted.

If Clayton wants to talk about being surrounded by talent, he might mention the fact that Brady has spent ten years playing for who many consider to be the best coach in the league....at least until he stopped taping other teams practices.

I especially love how everybody fawns over Brady's come from behind win against the Cowboys last week. He played 58 minutes of downright mediocre football, including one TD and two INTs. Then he orchestrates a two minute game winning drive and TD. If he hadn't sucked for the first 7/8ths of the game, he wouldn't need a come from behind drive.

If the NFL ended today, Brady wins. But as TD said, Rodgers is playing better than any QB ever so far this year.

Suck it Clayton!
4th quarter comeback stat might just be the most overrated stat in pro sports...aside from batting average in baseball.

If you never trail in the 4th quarter it is awfully tough to engineer a 4th quarter comeback.

Packers have not trailed in 4th quarter with Rodgers as QB since the 1st Atlanta game last year. That Atlanta game remember they also had something like a 93 yard drive to tie it up. A game that special teams proceeded to give away on the very next kickoff.

So 17 out of the last 18 4th quarters Rodgers has played in the Packers had the lead throughout and also won the game.

The time before that was the Miami game. Another game where they had a late TD but wound up losing in overtime.

Brady has thrown a lot of INTs the last few playoff games they've played. Including 3 on multiple occasions (San Diego and Baltimore, both home games).

They're very close but Rodgers has to get the nod for his decision making, the recent history and also his mobility.

The comment about lack of surrounding talent is garbage and the same nonsense that the Favre defenders used to use. Welker is on pace for most receptions in a season and also most yards in a season. Hernandez and Gronkowski are both damn good. Green-Ellis is also very good. It is not like NE is void of talent in any way shape or form.

I don't hate Brady, in fact I think you can argue he's one of the top 3 of all time. However right now he is not the best QB in the league.

Hmmmm...sounds like a certain QB playing in the Rocky Mountains, no?

Actually, I see this (Rodgers vs Brady) as another classic showdown. Not that different from him replacing TOG, except instead of replacing a gunslinger, he's replacing an aging, but still highly-skilled veteran. Brady had his time in his era, but it's time for a new standard, and Rodgers will define what that standard is.
